The Click

Jack and his crew, Marko, Steven, Sarlot, Nathan and lastly Lexy, are a group of six people who still believe in lost spirits and souls. Their last visit at a ghosted residence was three months ago.

At that time they had decided to march for a small motel, abandoned and forgotten by even God himself.

The whole building was giving off a tremendous vibe. It was as if what ever was there ment to never get out in the open. To be left internally alone.

Despite all these and numerous premonitions they got from locals and people who also had the dare to get close to the motel, Jack's crew still marched on to the way to the motel.

It took them a days walking to get to the place where the motel was resting. It had been proven to be a difficult task to be located, for it was stuffed deep in the forest, surrounded by trees and hardly noticeable.

They all let out a breath of relief that they even managed to spot it. Maybe it was ment to be found after all.

Walking further, they reached the main gate of the motel a rusted, secured lock the only thing separating them from the entrance door.

Jack who was leading glanced back and motioned for Marko to give him the lever. As soon as it was in his hands he raised it high above his head. A smirk made its way toward his face before he brought it down. Then a loud thud was heard and everyone cheered. The lock was out of place and that was it.

Covering the little distance which was in between them and the front door Nathan took the lead and stood before the door. He placed his hand on the job and tried it out. Locked. A loud bell sound was produced from the motel and they all froze.

It was then that they heard a smack. Turning around they saw Sarlot shouting at Steven who had apparently pressed the door bell. A soft laugh came out of the rest while the two of them continued fighting.

Their little moment was soon interrupted by a rusted sound. As soon as their as their eyes met the front door they widened. The door, which had previously been locked , had been opened for them welcoming them into a fearfull nightmare.

Lexy started mumbling about how they should turn back maybe get a few more stuff for protection, but as soon she turned her back to the front door and faced the gate she saw it closing. She remained still in her spot until the gate closed fully and locking in place with a small click.

She then whipped her head to her companions. After a moment's staring at eachother it was clear to them that they had to keep going where they headed first and so they did.

Jack got in the front and placed a foot slowly in the motel. The wood screeched beneath him but nothing else occured. Turning his head he motioned for the rest of his crew to follow and gave them a resuring smile. They smiled back at him, they stayed close behind him as they got deeper into the motel and it's darkness and silence enveloped them all, having the door close automatically behind them with a mere click.
