3. New And Old Friends

Vik's POV

As I looked up and noticed the arch way hanging over the front gate, YouTube University, Why was I here again? I mean I've known about the school for years, that doesn't necessarily mean I want to be here.

Vik: "Why did my parents force me to attend? I was having fun at home doing my own thing."

I guess earning my own money back home to pay for this straight up, and then having my parents drop a ticket on my lap last night could help me out, I heard the better off end up with more benefits, which to me is extremely unfair on anyone else that isn't so lucky. But I can't really do much about it can I? Everyone has to make money somehow.

????: "Hi are you ok?"

I turned my head to the voice and noticed a rather skinny and lanky man with dark hair in front of me. He was a pair of glasses and was wearing a, what I think was once blue shirt.

Vik: "Yeah I'm fine, just have to go to admin and sign in."

????: "Oh ok cool. Well do you know where you are going?"

Vik: "Nope, but I'd take my chances with the one building directly in front of the gates. That seems logical."

I watched the boy chuckle before waving me off, hearing something along the lines of I'd get along well with someone. I didn't get a name though. As I stepped up the stairs and into the building, it was dead quiet. I knew I was early but still, I made my way to the front desk, the dark haired guy with glasses turning to face me.

????: "Good morning can I get your name please?"

Vik: "Sure Vikram Barn."

As he typed away on the computer, the other two ladies were busy as well.

????: "Alright Vikram, This is your room key and a map to find your way, My name is Chris so if anything goes wrong come and see me and I'll help you out when I can."

Vik: "Thanks Chris."

Taking my key from the table in front of me, and grabbing the map. I noticed a Discord link at the bottom of it, that might be a community one. I walked outside and out the key in my pocket while I kept the map closed for a moment, leaning up against the building and opening the app in my phone, putting in the link and opening it up, noticing that it was rather busy on here. I scrolled down and noticed a room called New Students. Checking in to see a bunch of numbers and letters from a few other people.

Vikkstar123: "Uh 28D."

A few minutes after I had sent the message, my notifications started to blow up from Discord, people adding me as friends on the app. I went through and noticed they all had one server in common, YouTube University, I started to add them all and I had received a few messages. Some people curious about who I was, what I was studying.

Wroetoshaw: "Vik hey man it's been a while how have you been?"

Vik: "Hey Harry long time no see, I didn't know you were here. I just thought you permanently moved back to Guernsey?"

Harry: "I did for about a month before my parents found out about this place, don't worry it's a tonne of fun. Where abouts are you I'll come say hi."

I let him know that I was following the map and I'll be at my room soon, he told me my housemate was already there but that it should be fun regardless. I made my way over and knocked on the door, not wanting to bother them by just walking in if they were doing. Though why you would do something like that in the lounge room I have no idea.

????: "Sorry just a second."

I waited a few seconds before the door opened to reveal a young woman about my height, Long dark hair with a bubbly personality.
