Part thirty eight

Veronica's pov
Archie stands up abruptly. "SHUT THRE FUCK UP CHERYL!" Archie says. "Babe ." I say trying to calm him down. I love it when he try's to protect me. "No need to get fiesty Annie. (A/N I thought this was clever because he's an orphan technically and he has red hair.lol not Ik it's not funny😂) your secrets safe with me for now." She says with a glare in her eyes. "What do you mean "for now"?" I ask scared. But she turns and leaves before I even finish my question. Archie sits back down on the couch and breathes heavily. I turn and look at Kevin. His jaw is dropped and his eyes are wide. "She is such a bitch!" He says looking at me. "How did she find out?" Archie asks devestated. I put my head on his shoulder and he wraps his arm around me. "I don't know. She must have overheard me talking to Betty or something." I say, eyes starting to water. There's silence for a moment. "Guys I umm don't want to ruin your moment but I'm sure Cheryl won't do anything. Even she won't stoop that low in life. And for now, it's only the three of us in here. Also the bell is gonna ring in like a minute and I got chem first." Kev says, awkwardly. I sit up and release myself from Archie's warm embrace. "Oh yeah of course kev. Sorry." I say wiping a new tear away from my eye. I turn around and give Archie my hand to help him get up. We follow kev to the table to gather our work. **RING RING** First period is starting so I have to go. Kev runs out of the room after we thank him so now it's just Archie and I. I give him a pouty face. We both know I don't want to leave him and since it was his idea we come I'm aloud to play the baby card. He pulls me into a tight hug. "Ronnie. You know I'll be right down the hallway from you. Plus Betty is in your first two classes." He says, trying to convince me. My frown turns into a regular face but I know he won't stop until I'm smiling. "I'll see you at lunch. I'll buy you a shake after school." He says. Alright he's finally convinced me. I can't say no to a shake. "Besides I think there's some pep rally going on for the last two periods." He checks his watch. Alright Ronnie we really got to go now." He says. I move closer and interlock my lips to his. I've missed this so much. We haven't kissed in three weeks. The kiss becomes more passionate until there's an interruption. "Excuse me! This is nit appropriate for school! You should be ashamed!" Says a stern voice. We both spin around and see Betty there dying of laughter. At first I'm mad then I join in laughing. "Omg I thought you were a teacher!" I say. "Haha that was the plan. Now come on we really got to go!" Betty says. I give Archie a quick peck and then I head to class with Betty.
