"Attention American Eagle flyers, flight 20B 8510 with service to London has been delayed due to inclement weather. It should be arriving around 12:00 noon."

"Great! Just what I need right now." I exclaimed and dramatically flung my hands into the air.

"The orientation starts at 7:30 am tomorrow. If Mia doesn't get on a flight soon she'll miss it." Mom argued.

"Don't worry she won't be late." Dad reassured her. "It's only a four hour difference from Miami to London so if the flight departs at 12 pm then she should arrive in London by 2 am."

"Ugh." I lazily slouched into the chair. Is that all this woman cares about? I rolled my eyes and pulled my hoodie over my head.

"Mia! You look ridiculous with that thing on!" Mom scolded.

I stuck my tongue out at her and she scoffed at me while she furiously flung her sagging scarf over her shoulders to readjust it. A few moments later mom rose off of her seat without notice - God knows where that woman was going.

I was now dying of boredom from watching all these people walk to and fro in the airport so I decided to drown out the distress with some music. I scrolled through my ipod nano looking for a song - "Katy Perry, no. Jason Derülo, no. One Direction, hell no!" Don't get me wrong I love those boys but right now, I want to be angry and peppy pop won't do the trick. "Cold play, ugh. Eminem, Oh Eminem, Yes!" I tapped my ipod and No Love started playing.

Minutes went by... HOURS went by... Millions of clucking heels, scratchy wheels and noisy voices went by and my flight hadn't arrived as yet!

"Dad! What time is it?" I whined.

"Mia you've asked me that just moments ago. It's still ten past eleven." he replied.

"Dad! What time is it now?"

"How about we go for a walk? Let's go find your mom." He suggested.

"I don't wanna!"

"Well we're going anyway. Pick up your things."

I scooped myself out of the seat, placed my knapsack on my shoulders, trollied my suitcase and lazily trudged along. I felt like a grocery bag - a very used one too.

While my dad did his business calls and chat with the airport personnel - some of which were his high school and college friends - I was there carrying everything and being dragged along for the ride. No one loves me, I pouted.

I read the notification on my iphone, "Free WiFi" Oh la la.

I decided to Google search the distance between Miami from London to see exactly how far apart I would be from Dylan.

"4425 miles!!" I shouted. Wide-eyed - I stared at the iphone screen while a few passers-by glanced at me. The tragedy!

(Pop)

You have 5 unread Facebook messages. Oh. They're all from Dylan.

- Hey bae! Wassup? (8:00 am)

"No you aren't" I replied.

- For a min. there I thought you were ignoring me. (11:55am)
