Cruel Summer

Bev's POV

I was looking forward to living with my best friend. As soon as we got home, we called my foster family, made the arrangments and had everything official. I liked how we were playing truth and dare a couple of hours ago and now we are making plans for me to move back to Derry. We are really crazy.

It was 2 am and we were discussing her plan for tomorrow. How were we going to reveal it was just a dare without making the day awkward for everyone.

"Maybe right after we could use you moving back as the cushion." Y/n suggested.

"Maybe. They might think we were joking. You just told 2 of them that you loved them. With Stevie Wonder lyrics may as well add.." I replied.

"It is really serious." She said as she rolled onto her stomach.

"Saying you love someone isn't serious?" I asked with my eyebrows scrunched together.

"I really do love them. They are the best. Just as friends. Don't take that the wrong way!" She looked me in the eyes. I just started to laugh.

"You are too young for a boyfriend," I said as I patted her head. She rolled her eyes.

"You are a month older than me, now you're my mom." She said as she laughed. "We should play marry, kiss, or kill!" She said as she started to clap.

This will be fun.

Y/n POV

Bev had an evil look in her eye. This might not be the best idea.

"I am not going to play because I have Ben. You have no one so it is free for all." She said with an evil clap.

"Who says I don't have a boyfriend from before I moved?" I said. She just raised an eyebrow at me. "Proceed."

"Mike, Richie, Eddie," Bev said.

"Kill Mike, he would understand. Kiss Trashmouth, then marry Eddie, then divorce him because of Reddie." I replied

I went to my bed to sleep. I was too tired to answer any more questions.

~Time skip to the next morning~

I looked at the clock. It was 12:30. We had to go to the quarry today. I rolled over to see Bev snoring with her hair all over her face. I grabbed my Polaroid and captured the moment. I began to shake it when she woke up. She tried to grab it, but I was faster. We ran around the house. I eventually jumped onto the kitchen counter. She didn't notice me. She was in my living room. I quickly ran up the stairs and hid the picture in my closet. I think I might give that for Ben's birthday.

"Beverly we need to get ready. We have to meet the boys at the quarry." I shouted from the top of the stairs.

I saw her walk up the stairs. I began to look at my closet. I decided to put on a dress. Have to change it up. I left my y/h/c hair down. I looked at myself in the mirror. I did a little spin. I think I look cute.

"You realize that you never told the boys what time they should be at the quarry," Bev asked me as she went through her bag.

"Shit. I knew I was forgetting something. They better be there before we get there. Or else." I said jokingly. "That is what they get for hanging out without us."

"But we were doing the same thing." She said.

"That is different," I replied. She just took my word.

We walked outside to our bikes. We began to ride. When we got there, we were the first ones there.

"Suprise, surprise." I joked. I started to take my dress off. I might as well catch some rays. Bev went to the water. I put my Discman and lay down with my sunglasses.

Beverly's POV

I heard the noise of bikes. That meant that the boys were here. I grabbed my towel and got out of the water. I started to laugh at the what I was seeing. Stan and Bill were staring at Y/n sunbathe. The look on their faces was priceless. Ben and Mike were talking. Richie and Eddie were both missing, probably somewhere making out. I sat down by Y/n.

"N/n, Turn around," I whispered to her. I stood up and walked to the Ben. I didn't want to be there to see her reaction.

She turned around and Bill and Stan looked away quickly. She rolled her eyes and stood up. She walked up to me and mouthed thank you. We both started to laugh at the same time. The rest of them just looked at us like we were crazy.

"Hey, who wants to look for Eddie and Richie?" Y/n asked. She obviously wanted to go in the water.

"Ben and I will go" I replied as I grabbed his hand. We started to walk to the forest hoping we would just see them kissing.

Y/n POV

I walked up to Mike. I haven't talked to him one on one in a while. I was curious about how he was doing.

"Hey," I said. I pulled my hair up into a ponytail. I saw Mike giving someone dirty looks behind me. I turned around and just saw Bill and Stan. I shrugged it off.

"The last one in the water is a rotten egg!" I ran back and jumped off the cliff. The sound of the splash was the best. I looked up and saw all of my friends come down one by one.

At that moment I hoped that nothing will ever change.

A/n

I was walking home and I saw a bunch of wrapping paper by the sewer opening thing. Happy birthday Pennywise!
