You and Joey were hanging out tonight. It's been awhile since because you went on vacation last week and he's been busy. You went over to his house, and you were cuddling in his bed. He was laying on his back, and you were on your left side, with your head on his chest. Your legs were tucked up to your stomach so your blanket would cover all of you. You both sat on your phones. You were on snapchat, having fun with the new filters.

"Hey Joey." You said to  him.

"Hmm?" He responded, not moving his eyes away from his phone screen.

"Let's take a picture." You raised your phone a bit to get a better angle of both of your faces.

"Not now, babe." He still was looking at his phone.

You put your phone back, with your smiling fading back into your normal face.

A few more minutes went by and you were bored.

"Joey, can we take a picture now?"

"No, I don't look good." He said.

"Yes you do, you always do!" You tried to make him do it.

"Babe, I said no." He sounded a bit frustrated.

You had the same reaction as the time before. A few seconds of silence went by, and then you felt Joey moving. He was going to get up.

"Babe, where are you going?"

"Bathroom." He started walking toward the door without looking at you. He swept his hand through his messy hair.

"Oh, okay-" He walked out and shut the door without looking back.

You didn't know what his deal was. He has an attitude tonight--you're supposed to be the one with it.

You sat looking through Twitter for a few minutes. He still wasn't back. You texted him.

M: Jo, u ok?

It took him a minute to reply.

J: Yeah, fine

You knew he was annoyed at something. Something was wrong, but you knew if you asked, he would get in a worse mood. You just needed to give him a minute to breathe. But another five minutes went by.

M: Jo, what's goin on?

J: Nothing

You were done waiting for him. You got up and walked across the hall outside the bathroom door.

You were about to know but you heard a sound. It sounded like he was crying. You put your ear next to the door. He was talking to himself, but you couldn't make out what it was exactly.

You knocked on the door.

No answer.

"Joey?" You knocked again, and still got no answer.

"Joey!" You knocked a third time.

"Oh my gosh" You heard him try not to yell. "What?"

"What are you doing?"

"Nothing important."

"Joey, come out."

"No."

"Joey, it's been almost ten minutes."

He didn't reply then.

"I want to see my boy."

"Leave me alone, Meghan!"

Your arm fell back at your side. Your head fell forward, and a tear formed in your eye.

"Joey please-"

You heard nothing.

"Do you want to-"

And out of nowhere, he raised his voice a bit louder than before.

"No, Meghan, I don't want to come out. I don't what to talk, I don't want to take pictures, I don't want to cuddle, okay? Please let me go."

Your eyes teared up and you slowly walked back across the hall.

You were just going to leave at this point. You picked up your Nikes from the floor, and put them back. You grabbed your purse off of the chair in the corner of his room, and got your charger out of the wall. You put it into your purse, and then remembered the little gift you were going to give Joey. You looked at it for a second, and sighed. Before you put it into the bag again, Joey appeared at the doorway.

"What's that?" It scared you a little.

"Oh, uh, nothing."

There were a few moments went buy in silence.

"It was for you."

"Was?" He asked.

"I mean, it is. Here." You held it out for him to take.

He sat down on the side of the bed, and you sat next to him.

He opened the little box to see a purple and black small beaded bracelet with a shark tooth attached.

You looked at your lap while he opened and examined it.

"I know it's not that much but I thought you'd like it." You broke the silence.

"I do like it, a lot. Thanks babe."

"You're welcome."

He looked at it for a second more and put it on his dresser. Then, he turned around and hugged you.

He let go, and laid down with the blanket on him again.

"Are you laying down with me?" He asked, after you sat there watching him.

You slid your shoes off and curled up next to him again like before.

"I'm sorry."

"It's okay. Sorry for bugging you." You replied, not looking at him.

"So, do you want to take a picture?" He asked and smiled.

You looked up at him and smiled.

You got out your phone and got the heart filter to work.

"Joey, it's working now!"

He then turned and smiled his adorable smile. You got the perfect picture of you two together.
