Chapter 10: It's Falling Apart

~Christa's POV~

It was happening all over again. The Colossal Titan had returned again, and the walls had been breached. Titans flooded into the Trost district and began to wreak havoc on the town. Ymir and I were speeding past buildings trying to catch up with an abnormal.

"Damn it, this bastard's fast. Can you do it?" Asked Ymir

I looked back at her.

"I've got it!" I called back

Ymir nodded her head and we decided to stay on it's tail. Ymir moved closer to me so we wouldn't have to yell over the wind.

" Stay focused Christa. I think Eren would like you to stay in one piece." She said

I jared her side playfully. Finally, the Titan was within my range. I fired my gear into the nape of it's neck, and I flew towards it. I drove my blades into the monster's neck and killed it. Ymir and I landed on a nearby rooftop.

"Whooo! That was awesome!" Shouted Ymir

I laughed at her playfulness. I was about to respond when I heard screaming. It sounded like Armin, so I took off in his direction. When I reached the rooftop, I saw Armin shoot out of a Titan's mouth. I was relieved until I heard him scream.

"Eren!" He shouted

I looked again to see Eren holding the Titan's mouth open. He was covered in his own blood, and missing a leg. I shot toward him, moving at top speed. He reached out his arm for someone to save him. I was right there, and I grabbed his hand. I was pulling him out when his strength faded away. The Titan's jaw came down on him, and cut his arm off. I fell back to the rooftop in tears.

"No, no, please no! I....I was f...fin...finally happy. Why did he have to die? Why, why why why?" I sobbed

Ymir ran up to me, and cradled me.

"Christa what's wrong?" She asked

I looked back up to her.

"Eren's gone...I wasn't fast enough. I couldn't save him..." I trailed off into silence

Ymir brought me back behind wall Maria, and left me at the staging area. I curled up into a ball, and cried myself to sleep.
