After I calmed down Charles decided to make me pancakes. Because that's what friends are for, when one feels terrible and questions the fabric of reality the other makes him sweet pancakes to cheer him up. I took out all he needed, sat at the table and watched him prepare the batter. It's somewhat fascinating to watch him cook, he looks so mature when he does that. He's so focused on it and puts so much effort, like it was a meal for the president. He took a bag of flour and put some into a bowl.

"Sam! Look at all this cacaine!" He smiled widely, took a handful of it and threw into the air.

"Lee! Staph that, you're making a mess!" I laughed at him. Nevermind the "mature" part.

"I'm so high right now!" He dabbed furiously.

"Charles if you wouldn't be asleep all the time you'd knew that dabs aren't cool anymore."

"Everything is cool when I'm the one doing it!" He sticked out his tongue and continued cooking.

After he was finished frying he put them on two big plates and covered them in Nutella and whipped cream.

"What do you think?" He asked.

"It just need one more thing" I walked to a cabinet, took out a pack of m&m's and sprinkled them on them. "Perfect"

"We're going to get so fat..."

"I have NO REGRETS!" I screamed and ate a handful of candy. He just looked at me and tried not to laugh.

"Bon appétit" He took the plates and placed them on the table. I took a bite to check if it was truly good. The sweetness kicked me right in the face.

"Damn, those are good! Good job, I thought you were going to burn them but this is actually a pleasant surprise." I started to shove one after another into my mouth. At first he looked  offended and like he wanted to say something, but just smiled and decided not to. He started to eat as well, because I was almost finished with my plate.

"Sorry that I'm talking about it but I have to make sure you're okay. Did Alexander actually break up with you?" He asked suddenly. I just nodded because one, I don't want to talk about it, and two, I had still some food in my mount.

"How do you feel?" He lightly squeezed my hand. I finished chewing what I had in mouth then responded while looking at my plate.

"I'm sad, of course I'm sad! It was my fault he broke up with me. I screamed at him. It's my fault I didn't try hard enough. I screw this up." I felt my eyes getting watery.

"Sam, I just want to tell you that you're an amazing person and if Hamilton couldn't see that then he's a moron." He hugged me. I almost instantly felt a bit better.

"Yeah... I think it would happen eventually, sooner or later. He often flirted with other people and often went to John's house. I wish them best of luck. I'm just sad that it had to end that way, in anger."

"Focus on the bright side. You're single now. Just imagine all those people that might date you. You can get them all. Just like Ketchup in Pokieman" He tried to cheer me up. I giggled aware that he never played nor watched Pokémon.

"Thanks Charlie, I'm really glad you came." His cheeks started to get redder.

"S-sam, can I tell you something?" I nodded. "There's something I wanted t-to tell you... I-I love... Spending time with y-you, and I-" Suddenly the sound of opening door interrupted him. I tensed up and let go off him.

"My parents are back! You- You need to go!" I looked around to find the best way for him to flee. I spotted a window and pointed to it.

"Sam, are you serious? I won't jump out through a window!" He looked a little scared.

"Well, then try to find a better way out!" I grabbed his hand and tried to push him.

"What?! No! Sam!" He grabbed me and struggled to keep himself as far away of the window as possible.

"You're making it more difficult than it has to! Hurry up and just do it! They're almost in!" And at exactly that moment my parents walked in.

"Sam? Are you home?" They walked to the kitchen and saw us. It was too late.

"What are you doing? Why are you trying to push him out of a window?!" My mother asked. I couldn't say anything and just let him go. Charles was also scared, I forgot that he wasn't exactly the brave type.

"Tell your friend to leave. We need to talk." Said my father. Charles almost ran out, normally I would be disappointed in him, but right now I could understand his actions.

It was just us, our family, in the room.
"Sammy, listen. Yesterday I talked about what happened yesterday with your father and-"

"Please don't trow me out! I-I know I'm a bad kid, but I can change! Please! I can go to the church and they can fix me!" Tears started to roll down my face.

"Samuel, what are you saying? Do you hear yourself? Of course we wouldn't trow you out, you're still a kid and have to go to school. You're not bad z you're not broken, there's nothing to fix." She hugged me. "I'm sorry I overreacted yesterday. You're my only child and no matter what we love you." Now they both were hugging me. "Just promise, no more secrets."

"O-okay" I said quietly.

"And no candy after 8pm. It's not good for your teeth." Added my father. I hugged them tightly.

"Oh, and Mr Washington called. He told us you weren't in school. You're grounded for a week." And so the perfect family moment was ruined. He looked at the table. "That is unless I could taste those pancakes."

"Honey, that's not how how grounding works..." My mom tried to stop him.

"Okay, deal." I added  before he could change his mind and laughed. Apparently I got my sugar addiction after him.

"But seriously, don't do that again." I stopped laughing and nodded. "Okay, go pack for tomorrow, it's late."

I went to my room like he said, but checked my phone first. Apparently Charles texted me saying that he was sorry he left and asked if everything was okay. I texted him back and got ready for the next day. I decided to go to sleep early, so I changed into clean t-shirt and shorts and brushed my hair. I wanted to check something so I also put my phone and a marker into my pocket. I lay in my bed and closed my eyes ready to face Gorge.

That's weird... I can't see him.

Sorry if this chapter is more of a filler but I really enjoyed writing it. I also wanted to finish those two plots so I could focus on other things and not his feelings for Hamilton. I have no idea what happened but when I posted this chapter before it cut off a part of it and I just noticed.
