Tuesday's Travels

I woke up feeling both refreshed and tired at the same time. University wouldn't begin for another week, so I didn't have anything to divert my attention to in a state of boredom. Instead of studying, which I usually do before school starts, I went to the beach. After all, being in the sun and "relaxing" is healthy for both your body and your mind.

After a few hours of laying on the beach with a thin layer of sunscreen on I had enough. Doing nothing can be quite tiring, surprisingly. Some physical activvity would do me well, so I went to the nearest bicycle store and purchased a mountainbike. You see, having a bicycle is an amazing asset to Los Santos' crowded streets. The traffic jams are easily avoided, and it's super good for improving your stamina. It doesn't even require fuel (,and with today's gas prices, that can make a wonderful impact on your wallet. I mean, have you seen how much you pay for just one gallon? It's robbery, really.)! It's a pedal driven sign of pride in nowadays society.

I ended up going to a nearby convenience store, which, surprisngly, held way more than I could ever hope to get from the small shop on the corner of the streets.
You see, I bought some snacks for future visitors of my residence. But, when I went to the checkout, the man behind the counter took notice of my politeness. But not just that, he went as far as to offer me a job! I had been here for only a day, and I already got the option to start earning money? What an opportunity!

We discussed wages, workshifts, and other occupation related items.
I was offered to work parttime in the store as a clerk. All I would have to do is be kind and scan the items people brought to me.
I can barely express my happiness! With this job I can pay my parents back for the money they lend me to get here. Maybe, if I work hard and save up enough money, I might even be able to buy my rather silly sister back home a christmas gift.
