Nightmares (Avengers)

Iron Man (age 5)-

Your dad always checked in on you before he went to bed himself. He walked to your room and opened the door. You were tossing and turning and tears streamed down your face. "(Y/N) what's wrong? Wake up baby." he said picking you up. As soon as you heard his voice you calmed down and went back to a peaceful sleep.

Hawkeye (age 9)-

You never had nightmares. Never. But then one night you did. You woke up in the dark, scared. You walked down the stairs as quietly as you could but even a fly can't escape a master assassin like you father. Once you got the kitchen to get water he was there. "(Y/N)? You okay?" he asked worried. You nodded yes but he knew you were lying. He wrapped his arms around you and you just cried.

Captain America (age 7) -

You were peacefully sleeping in your bed one minute but the next you were screaming. It woke up your dad and he came running to you. "(Y/N) wake up." he said shaking you. "It's okay. It's just a dream." he said once you woke up.

Hulk (age 11) -

You had decided to watch a horror movie with your friends. Bad idea. You got home and went straight to bed. Only a few hours later you were having a nightmare. Your dad came in and woke you up to make sure everything was fine. After that your slept great.

Thor (age 17)-

You couldn't get the picture out of your head. You were driving home and had seen someone get hit and killed. It was horrible. You told your parents you were fine but that was a lie. That night you dreamed the scene over and over. You woke up in your dads arms. "It's not your fault. You couldn't do anything." he said knowing you felt guilty.

Loki (age 3) -

It started raining just after you were tucked in bed. It just got harder and harder. And then lighting and thunder started. You woke up and tiptoed down the hall to the living room where you knew your dad was still up. When he saw you he pick up and sat you on his lap. "Don't be afraid of the thunder. It's just your uncle. Nothing will happen." he whispered to you.

Black Widow (age 4) -

Your dad Clint had gone out on a solo mission so it was just you and your mother in the house. That night you had a dream about your father getting in a plane crash and panicked. You ran to your parents room and woke her up. "(Y/N) did you have a bad dream?" you nodded and she moved over making room for you in the bed letting you sleep with her for the night.
