"Analise Thompson!" James calls in his quivering voice and looks at the blonde girl with surprise. The moment I look at her the scent becomes unbearable, overwhelming me. My heart starts flipping and beating, blood draining from my face and twisted feeling settling in my stomach.
"It can't be her." I whisper in a low voice as realization hits me. Her blonde hair falls perfectly around her face, her lips pouting and she is trembling a little while walking to James, blushing as she feels our gaze.
"What?" Nick turns to me and raises his eyebrow. I shake my head and doesn't return the answer, instead continue watching her.
She is wearing knee-length white dress and white sneakers, both of them becoming muddy the moment she kneels in the mud. James puts his hand on her head as he did for all of us and starts speaking.
The moment James opens his mouth and starts talking I am waiting for something, anything for me to feel. But as before nothing comes to me, not even slightest ray of power, nothing at all. I sigh and shake my head. She is good for nothing werewolf. Usually, people who are like that are Omegas.
When James finishes talking he looks at her with sad eyes, but she smiles at him, as if he was the one who needs the encouraging. She turns back to us, her clothes muddy and her legs dirtied from mud.
She sniffles, but says nothing as her eyes start roaming the crowd, while she is slowly walking back to her place, where she once was standing. My eyes trail behind her and when she goes back, she turns, our eyes clashing to each other.
Neither of us says a word, but something inside of me changes and I find myself smiling, despite not wanting it. My stomach feels as if I have butterflies inside of it.
"Oh, look someone has a mate!" Nick shouts and half of the crowd turns to us, wanting to know their future Luna. I can't tell them that their Luna is supposed to be one of the Omegas. People will hate me for that.
Our eyes meet, but I shake my head, lying to others that I don't have mate, while motioning her not to say even a word. Her once love filled eyes turn into dark and cold, but she nods, sealing her mouth shut.

The moment I step inside the school everyone looks at us, their eyes full of excitement and they start murmuring about the power we have inside of us. I smirk at them and flash every girl a smile.
The scent of her is everywhere around her, filling my nostrils, but I say nothing as she passes me, her eyes casted down on the marble floor, I can feel pain emitting from her, but I say nothing.
The day goes like any other and it seems that wherever I go, she has to be in there as well. No matter will it be hallways or classrooms, even lockers are near each others. I push the lunch door open and her scent hits me with full power as I notice her sitting next to her friends. Humans and Werewolves have lunch at different times, but it never occurred to me why.
She is sitting next to her best friends and giggles while talking to them about something and without thinking my legs start taking me to her. The whole cafeteria gets quite when I stop in front of her and she looks up surprised. Her deep ocean blue eyes bore into mines and we stare at each other. Each second I am looking at her the spark is igniting inside of me, feeling I have never felt before rises inside of me and something twists, even though I don't want to feel this things.
"Lisa?" Her friend calls her and she breaks the eye contact to look back at the black haired girl, who has deep drown eyes and upturned nose. "Is he... Your mate?" She asks her surprised and then looks back at me. I can feel everyone's eyes on us and I know I have to finish it now and here, thus everyone can see it.
"I... Lucas...." Something inside of me doesn't let me speak and chokes me instead. She sighs and stands up, grabbing my hand gently, which sends the fireworks up inside of me. Her smooth skin calms me down and at the same time makes me nervous.
"Not here." She whispers in a low voice, as if knows what I am about to do. Her eyes are casted on the floor, not daring to look at me again. "Not in front of everyone." She whispers and takes me out in the garden behind the old oak tree. It's branches and leaves are covering us perfectly, and not many people are out here, but I know that people are looking from the windows.
"Now...You... can say it." She whispers, her own words choking her. I can see tears in her eyes, even I fill with pain from the words I am about to say.
"I Lucas Jonathan Arnolds, reject you Analise Joanna Thompson as my mate." I say clearly and loudly. She nods, her eyes never lifting up to my face. The pain and regret hits me instantly as my wolf starts crying and my body feels as if I have just chopped off my own limb I needed the most.
"I..." She sobs a little and shakes her head, hair covering her perfect face. "Analise Joanna Thompson... accept your rejection." She whisper in barely audible voice, but the pain it causes makes me choke a little.
I look at her with pity inside of my eyes, she got rejected, which hurts more than I can ever understand. I can see it as she starts bending, clenching her own stomach, while I am going further way from her.
