"Excuse me Miss, would you like something to drink?" The hostess asked smiling at her.
Roxy shook her head in silence.
It was her first time being on a private jet and if that was another situation she would have been really excited to try the catering service or the free champagne, but all she could think about was the fact that her flight was been paid by the family of her future husband.
When this thought came to her mind, she closed her eyes and her heart stopped beating for a second.
She began to remember the events of the last two weeks ...
When her parents told her that their family's company was on the verge of bankruptcy, she felt that her whole world had just fallen on her, but she never thought there could be anything worse.
"There could be a solution ..."
His father told her hesitantly : "The Park Fondation, a powerful Korean company, has shown interest to invest in our company but ..."
"But?" She asked worried.
"But on one condition: a marriage between their firstborn son and our daughter to consolidate this new business relationship between our two families".
His sentence was finished by her mother with a sad voice.
"An arranged marriage? A business marriage? Are you kidding me?"
The resignation on her parents faces shocked her.
"No! There's no way that I'm going to do that! I want to be free! I want to marry someone that I really love!"
She felt cold tears running down her cheeks.
She had tried to oppose it, she had done it strenuously for days, fasting and locking herself in her room.
Then one morning his father had convinced her to visit with him the various establishments of the company and it was at that moment that she decided to end her battle : she couldn't let the thousands of employees of the company remain without work, she couldn't put their families at risk only for her selfishness ...
"You can take your time to make your final choice!"
Her personal lawyer had told her : "Your parents and the Parks have decided to allow you two to live together for four months before the wedding, to not make it look to the medias like something planned and so you can get to know him and maybe both of you can develop at least a little sympathy for each other.
