"Hey love. How was your trip?" Simon Bello asked his fiancee, with a huge grin on his face.
It was so sad that she had to be away a day before the big unveiling, he was sure that she would be very proud of him.
"It was so long! My legs are so tired from sitting down, but I really miss you already." She replied softly, and he could almost hear the pout in her voice.
"I miss you too, and, I have a surprise for you." He announced.
"A surprise? But I'm so far away!" She whined.
"Yes well, you'll get it when you come back."
"Okay I'll just-"
"Don't even think about cutting your trip short because of it." He warned.
"Ugh! You know me too well." She laughed.
"Yes of course I know you na. You are my fiancee after all, except if you're having second thoughts?" He teased.
"Yes well, now that you talk about it," Olamide started and he felt his blood run cold. "I'm not having any second thoughts at all. I'm getting married soon to the man that I love, you."
"Good, 'cause I would hate for us to cancel our wedding plans." He smiled.
"Oh babe, I have to go. But, I'll call you as soon as I settle down." She said.
"No problem. Have fun. Love you." He replied.
"Love you too." And with that she hung up.
He sat on his bed still smiling at his phone, he was forever grateful to Manny for introducing her to him.
Meanwhile, Olamide was still very much in Lagos, in Manny's house to be exact.
It was a trick they did so often, she would pretend to travel out for business, and two days after, Manny would suddenly fall sick and have to stay home.
Although this time, no one was falling sick. The only person falling, was going to be Simon Bello.
"Okay, he fell for it, as usual." Olamide rolled her eyes, dropping her phone on the bedside table and going back to join Manny on the bed. "It's getting really tiring, going all 'love you', 'I want to marry the man I love, you'. I can't wait to get rid of him."
She straddled Manny who was lying down, his hands behind his head, smirking at her. "Yeah, I hate having you hear you tell him that you love him, when it's me you love any way. Now you have to tell me you love me."
"Again? Didn't I scream it loud enough last night?" She cocked an eyebrow playfully.
"Screaming? Why on earth would you be screaming? I don't seem to remember what happened last night. Would you mind showing me?" He teased and she rolled her eyes.
"Quickly. You have to get to the office remember, for the next stage of the plan." She instructed him.
"Everything would work out fine! Have you seen Simon? He trusts us too much." Manny laughed.
"Yeah. Big mistake." Olamide said and took of her shirt.
...
"I cannot believe you would force me all the way here, and then just leave me alone." Simon whined and his friend Manny laughed.
