"Go call Myrtle!" Marie said looking at Joe as he sat there stunned at the news of Fiona being in labor, upstairs.
Joe ran to the phone and called.
Delia walked upstairs and helped her mother to her bedroom and sat her in her vanity chair.
"Oh it hurts, I forgot how much it hurts!" Fiona took deep breaths, grabbing her belly.
She rolled over, grabbing Delias shirt collar.
"Why can't I be in a hospital with drugs?!"
"Because mother you killed your doctor for him telling you not to push yet."
"Soo. I need drugs!" She cries.
Myrtle arrived quickly, checking Fionas dilation.
"You're at 6 Fiona, get up and walk around."
Fiona shot Myrtle a look with daggers in it.She sat up and walked around the room. A contraction comes and She hunched over the bed and Joe put pressure on her lower back.
She tried to concentrate on breathing. Fiona felt like her hips were gonna break.
**
"Don't push yet till Myrtle gets back!" She grunted in pain.
"Oops Too late I already did." She says in a smartass way. Joe lays with her on the bed consoling her and calming her down. Myrtle finally walks through the door.
"Where the hell have you been!"
"Getting dressed." She looks at between Fionas legs.
"Holy shit. She's right there!" Myrtle exclaims loudly.
"I know it hurts!" Fiona screams.
"I feel like I'm being torn in half, Either you tell me to push Or I'm gonna push anyways!!" She cries out.
"Push when you need to." She pushes when the next contraction comes.
"Oh my god!" She screams bloody murder and pushes.
Myrtle puts her hands down there to support the baby's head.
"Two more tops!" She pushes again. Crying and sobbing. Fiona sees Joe crying and watching. She smiles but it quickly fades with a contraction.
"I can't do it!"
"You're almost done Fiona." She pushes one last time and hears the most beautiful sound.
She cuts the cord and sets the baby on her chest. Fiona starts crying. She so cute and tiny.
"Oh she was worth it all." She cries and kisses her tiny head. Her perfect nose and gobs of brown hair.
