Fire flamed everywhere as their city and home were on fire. They watched as their mother burned in front of them screeching, hollering in pain as they huddled in a corner. They saw her screams and watched as she burned on the street along with hundreds of others trying to escape the flames. She laid on the ground crying, screaming for the release of her pain. Her hair was burned off and her face was molting under the flames until there were no screams left but utter silence and the screams of those around her. Their stomachs turned with a sickness of watching and the young twins held onto one another in fear. Both cried out for their mother and cried for fear. An older man grabbed their hands and screamed at them to run holding both of their hands in each of his. They ran along the streets watching as what they used to know disappeared.

Blair awoke from her memories in fear. She breathed for a gasp of breath to awake to reality. She took deep breaths and scanned the area. She looked ahead and saw a green mist creeping upon the ground floor moving closer to them. She stood up and saw the mist cloud pushing forward. She grabbed her bag and rifle, "Get up! Get up! The fog is coming!"

Everyone awoke in sudden terror and scrambled for their supplies and bags. Ryder grabbed Drew's arm and pulled him up onto his feet in pain. Everyone started running while Ryder supported Drew as he tried to run. They stood at the top of the cliff trying to decide to jump or climb down, "Jump!" Ian screamed. The group hesitated a moment and watched as Ian jumped and hit the surface and the water splashed around him. The others followed his lead as they jumped off the cliff trying to escape the mist approaching. They felt the air rush past them as gravity pushed them to the surface of the water. They hit the water and felt the indulgence of the water rush upon them and the sharp frigid water indulge around their bodies. Drew screamed in pain as the water hit his ankle. Ryder pushed and grabbed Drew as they waded throughout the water trying to escape the mist approaching. The water pushed back upon their legs as they ran through the water trying to push their way out. Drew continued screaming as he pushed harder and screamed harder as he tried to push his way out. They reached the land and continued to run. The fog poured over the top of the cliff and began to trickle down it towards them.

They continued to run through the forest jumping over trees and bushes to avoid the fog approaching and the darkness of the night made it hard to see what lied ahead. Jasmine's heart raced as she ran with fear and terror of being burned by the fog. She felt her legs running underneath her hit the ground as her shoe impacted onto the soil and felt the crush of branches and leaves underneath them. Her rifle pounded against her side as each jump or turbulence hit her side with pain. She could feel the pain trickle upon her bone as each impact hit. As she jumped over a tree she felt her foot hit the bark and weight of the tree and then felt her body weight plunge forward as her foot snagged onto another tree branch as she jumped. She fell on the rifle and the pain dug into the side of her hip. She yelped in pain and tried to get up but her hip collapsed under her and she fell back onto the ground. She saw the fog approaching her a couple of feet ahead. Through the darkness of the night, she could see Drew approaching her and screaming her name. He grabbed around her waist and pulled her up. Ryder left Drew's side to attain to Caleb who ran into a tree and went unconscious for a few seconds.

Drew pushed her up and screamed, "Run! Go!"

"What about you?!" she screamed back.

"Go! I'll be ok! Just go!" he motioned his hand to the forest. The mist was a few feet behind Drew as he hobbled away. The fog approached faster than they could run and Drew felt the mist approaching behind him. It inched closer and closer to Drew and it moved upon his skin. It touched Drew's arm and he screamed in pain as it burned into his skin. He felt the blood rush out from his arm and ankle and the pain from both screamed on top of each other as he pushed through each breath of pain. He saw the others ahead jumping off a cliff and he heard his sister scream. Then, it went silent. He approached the cliff as the mist breathed upon his back. He ran and felt his feet push off from the ground into a space of complete uncertainty. He felt the rush of the wind rush into his hair and through his clothes. He closed his eyes and waited for his death but instead plunged into the surface of the water fully submerged into the body of water. He opened his eyes and rushed to the top of the surface and took a deep breath. He looked upon the others faces with complete exhaustion and relief. His ankle swelled in pain from trying to stay up from the water and not drown. He looked upon the cliff and looked at the thousand feet cliff they just jumped off and sighed a breath of relief.
