Feet thumped against the ground. Their boots echoed along the streets that were cracked and filled with debris. Stores rested alongside the street, some had caved in. Drew looked down at his once bare feet that was now covered with black Nike shoes and a white swish in the middle. They had been walking for hours searching for supplies but so far had found nothing. The stores had already been raided, homes had been caved in, and the streets echoed with the wind. Drew lagged Caleb and two others. One had dirty blond hair, a green jacket over top his black t-shirt not zipped, and a little taller than Caleb as they stood next to each other. He held his rifle over the top of his shoulder, holding the butt of his gun. His muscles flexed showing his built and muscular body to the girl who stood next to him. Drew rolled his eyes disgusted at the flirting manner. They were supposed to be looking for supplies not flirting like gossip girls.

Drew kept his head down staring at the ground in front of him. He listened to the others as they flirted with the girl, who he had gathered was named Emily. Her blond hair waved in front of her as the wind picked up. Her laughed carried with the wind as she spoke to Caleb and "caterpillar", the muscular boy who Drew named after his bushy eyebrows that crawled over his eyes like caterpillars. Emily and Caterpillar looked to be about sixteen and nineteen. However, Caterpillar's maturity level could be classified as eight.

Caleb looked back at Drew who continued to stare in front of him, "You good?"

Drew looked up from the ground and stared at Caleb, "Yea." If you count good as being tortured listening to all of you.

"You sure?"

Drew looked at Caterpillar who turned towards him interrupting his flirting date with Emily. "Just think we should go and check the stores over there." Drew snapped towards Caterpillar, "Instead of flirting with the lady we should go do what we came out here to do."

Caterpillar stared at him with a look of shock across his face.

"Damn man, chill," Emily responded.

"Alright there's a Target over there and a few fast food places not caved in, yet we could try. See if there's any food because I'm starved," Caleb said.

"After, we find a library. I need to pick up some stuff."

"Yes, sir. Nerd, sir." Caterpillar snapped his feet together and saluted.

"At least I'm not some wanta be tough guy that wants to hit on every girl he sees. At least I have morals."

"At least I'm not a spoiled brat."

"Hey! Both of you cut it out and stop acting like six-year old's fighting over a lollipop!" Caleb screamed. Drew and Caterpillar stared at each other in the eyes taunting the other. "Jesus."

"Jesus has nothing to do with this," Drew smart mouthed back to Caleb.

"He will be when I skin your ass alive." Caleb sighed a sense of aggravation. He nodded towards Caterpillar and Emily, "You guys go up ahead to Target. We'll catch up." They watched as the two faded away in the distance before Caleb turned back to Drew, "You need to chill out."

Drew's eyes scanned the horizon, "Whatever."

Drew tried walking away, but Caleb grabbed him by the arm and turned Drew around, facing him, "No it's not whatever. Look, I know Bane is a bit of a lady's man and is quite annoying." Drew stood puzzled for a second then realized Bane was caterpillar. "I get it, I do, but show some respect and stop acting like a kid. Grow up."
