Lunch time.
Finally. Economics was a bore as usual. Getting out of class was easy because I was right next to the door.
While I was at my locker I remembered I was suppose to meet Melissa here. And that's when she pops up.
"Hi come meet my friends". I didn't even have time to respond because we were already on our way to the cafeteria. It was packed with so many people. I felt my anxiety kicking in. Yeah I have anxiety, but it's not that bad. At least not always.
Melissa drags me to her table where I see 3 boys. Wow. I must be her only girl friend. While I was in my thoughts she whispered to me. "Don't worry I have Jordyn but she's still on holidays." We both chuckle at that and take our seats.
"Hi I'm Michael ,Melissa's twin brother." I knew he looked familiar. Same eyes, shape of nose. Identical.
"Sorry about early" he said
"Why?" that's when I turned to Melissa maybe she knew. And she did.
"Yeah um when I hit you in the head I was aiming for him. We fight in school sometimes" she finished with a soft laugh. "More like all the time. Oh hi I'm Adam by the way" the guy next to Michael. He was African American and had a deep voice but light Brown eyes. He had this sweet personality you can just feel it.
"She doesn't care. Hi I'm Emanuel . I'm the coolest on this table BY THE WAY." They all laughed at that.
He just smiled.
These people are funny. My turn
"Hi everyone I'm Andrea, nice to meet you all."
"Oh your the 16 year old. How cool. How did you do it?" Adam asked.
"Skipped some grades."
"So you're really smart and all." Emanuel said.
"I don't like calling myself smart but sure ok." I said.
We chatted , then all of a sudden the whole table went quite. Scratch that, the whole Cafeteria went quite.
I slowly follow everyone's eyes to see Mr.Wron-Josè get in. He scanned the room locked eyes with me then went to a table. Where there was just one guy. Is he popular?
As soon as he sat down everyone went back to doing what they were doing. Excluding me, what just happened?
"Hey Andrea what's wrong?" Michael asked
"Who's that?" I asked
"That, my friend is Josè Antonio. All around cool kid. He doesn't even know it. He skates, never speaks to anyone ,minus his best friend Jona Kingston. And every girl loves him and all the guys want to be his friend." nicely put by Melissa.
