We mess up and we make mistakes
But we always find someone else to blame
To take responsibility today is like stabbing yourself in the face
No one wants to feel that pain
We can't admit we've made a mistake so we leave it to the next person to take the plate
We lay awake at night looking at the ceiling wondering why we feel this way
Then we remember the choices we made and alone in a quiet room there's no one to blame
And when we look in the mirror we can't recognize the reflection of our face
Then we wonder who put us in this place of self-hateYou see I could have blamed me but
I blame you.
