" My teacher hurt his leg" Ame said sadly " He won't be able to watch the mountains anymore...someone will have to take his place." He explained. " Ame..." My Mom said with a voice of concern " You can't...you're too young , you're only 10 years old! And although that's when a wolf reaches adult hood, you're not a-" She stopped herself from finishing. She clearly understood Ame was taking a different path than i was.
There was going to be a strong storm that week. And no one knew exactly at which time. Mother was extreamly worried. Storms were always worse in the mountains, and with Ame going there so much she was quite worried. She wanted to keep him home as long as possible " Ame! Could you help me board up the house!"
That week Souhei had learned his mother was going to have a baby soon and was really upset. But he tried not to show it.
On the day of the storm all classes that day were cancelled. Instead of classes we waited in the gym for our parents to pick us up. We played basketball , cards , and chess. But as time went on not many kids were left. Two siblings were left, they started fighting " Don't fight!" I said " You two are brother and sister, so why fight" I only thought of me and Ame when I said this. Souhei sat up and said " Oh crap! I forgot my bag! I'm gonna go get it!" " Souhei you're such a dork!" I teased.
