I was woken up by the front door slamming of course it's April, my crack head ass mother. I got up off the couch & walked over to the crib to check on my baby sister Arianna she was just looking around with her fingers in her mouth she tends to always to that I have to break her out of that, she's only 6 months she don't know any better. My mom had her while she was doing crack (Of course) it didn't effect Ari Surprisingly it wasn't found in her system.
I looked at the time on my phone and noticed it was 6:25am. I have to be at school at 7:30 I'm not gonna have time to Do everything I still have to take Ari to daycare (that I enrolled her in & Pay for). I just said forget it and begin to get ready I think I'll make it to school on time. I grabbed Ari & Went upstairs to OUR room and grabbed my towel. As I was walking to the bathroom I realized that today was the day my granny sends my money in, she knows about April's habit so she sends me 2,000 every month, that's how I survive being that I'm only 14 & can't get a job. Sad right? 14 and taking care of my baby sister while my "Mother" is out all times of the day sniffing shit up her nose.
As for my Dad, he's in jail for a DV charge against my mom, when he found out what she was doing he beat her up & she called the police then boom next thing I know my Granny calls me telling me my Dad is in jail. I believe he only had 3 years which means he only has one left so pretty soon I'll be with him. As for Ari Dad idk who he is. But Anyways i got in the shower with Ari in my arms, everytime I get in the shower I put her in with me that way she won't cry. I started to wash her up with her baby soap as I was bathing her she started smiling & laughing that's one thing I love about this little girl, she's such a happy baby.
After I was done bathing her I wrapped her in a Towel & gently put her on the floor so I could bath..she started whining so I started singing so she could hear my voice, that's seem to calm her down. I started washing up I heard the door downstairs open in close, she must've forgot something good thing I locked the bathroom door I don't want her coming in here trying to take Ari as I finished bathing I heard the door shut again so she must have left. I got out the shower, grabbed Ari and walked to my room & shut and locked my door. I got Ari ready first, I put a pamper on her and looked in the basket for her a outfit, I pulled out A white nike Onesie & pink pants I got her dressed & put her on some All White forces, I made her a bottle before I got dressed. I put a pillow under the bottle that way she can drink it. I decided to wear some black PINK sweat pants & a plain white T- Shirt & some forces.
See me and Ari have good clothes & shoes thanks to my Granny she sends us clothes that way I won't have to spend all my money on it I wish we could go live with her but she lives all the way in California & I live here in Chicago. By the time I was done getting dressed Ari was done with her bottle I looked at the time & it read 6:50 so far I think I'm making good timing. I put my box braids up into a tight bun. After I was done with everything I grabbed Ari & her baby bag and made sure everything was in it. I walked down the steps into the kitchen to grab her bottles then I noticed there was $10 sitting on the counter with a note that read "To my beautiful baby Leo here is $10 it's not much but it's something that's all I could get right now hopefully I will be able to give you more. I love you Leo give Ari I kiss for me I'll see you girls later" wtf she never did this before that's weird but oh well at least she gave me money. I stuffed it in my pocket.
I grabbed the stroller & Began to walk out the door. Our house isn't bad. We have a 2 bedroom, it's just the neighborhood we live in. I live on the North side of Chicago where all the shit happens. As I was walking down the street I kept getting looks from every Dude I walked pass, that's the thing I hate about wearing sweats, my ass is way to big for a 14 year old my boobs are average, whenever I tell somebody I'm 14 they never believe me.
I started walking a little fast but it seem like I wasn't going no where, im so short I'm only 4'11 my legs are small so everytime I walk fast it feels like I'm going no where.
