Attempt

The pair walked towards the portal. It had similar slime to the demogorgan. The slime stuck to their shoes as they walked to the portal like thing.
"Do you think this is it? The- the way out?" Aria gulped, gasping for air.
"I hope so." Will muttered gripping her hand tighter.
"Listen, when we get out there will anything change or-"
"Nothing will change, Aria. I know it's only been a short amount of time, but I really like you." He said looking at her, cupping her face.
"I really like you too." She said before filling the space between them. They were pulled apart by aria being thrown on the ground, a demogorgan on top of her.
"Will!" She yelled struggling to keep it away from her face.
"Aria!" He yelled grabbing a metal pole and striking the beast.
The demogorgan stood up, opening its face at will. The couple grabbed each other before racing up the stairs. They finally made it to the lobby before bursting out the front door. They kept running for miles before collapsing on the ground of the woods.
"Fort Byers." Will muttered standing up, panting.
"W-what?" Aria asked struggling to follow him.
"I remember this. I made it with my brother." He said before pulling away the blanket that was the makeshift door.
They walked in together and sat on the mattress in there.
"We could sleep here tonight, and go back in the morning, it doesn't come out that much in the morning." Aria said before laying down. Will laid down next to her, trying to keep his distance.
"Sorry- could you. Hold me?" She asked her eyes watering.
He nodded putting his arm around her shoulder and she put her head in the crock of his neck.
She silently cried there until sleep won.

They woke up in silence. There were dried tears on both of their faces.
"We need to go." Aria said before slipping out of wills grip. They walked in silence to the gate.
"We're getting out together." Will said ending the silence.
"God, I hope." She laughed.
"And I'm going to go on a proper date with you. Not being chased by some monster. The snow ball." He said making her eyes widen.
"Did you just ask me on a date, Byers?" She laughed. He pulled her into a hug.
"Yes. And your answer?" He laughed.
She pressed their lips together. They roughened the kiss as arias lips made it to his neck, leaving hickies.
"Of course, silly." She laughed as he grabbed her hand and continued walking. They finally reached the gate.
"Take two." She muttered.
