Megan's P.O.V.

By the time we get there- excluding Luke because he's still at work -my aunt's house is already packed with my cousins. We went to the living room and I was welcomed by my favorite little cousins. I was practically being tackled by the kids- what can I say? Kids love me.

Oh shut up! My brain scolded me for being arrogant.

My parents made their way to the backyard where most of the adults are.

"Hey guys..." I mumbled.

They all spoke like; 'Hi Megan!', 'Megan! I lost my front tooth!', 'Megan!' and some just hugging me while we're lying on the floor. I chuckled to myself then they replied with a toothy grin.

"Who wants hotdogs?" I hadn't noticed that my aunt, Harper entered the room until she spoke up.

The kids got off me then aunt Harper helped me up. She offered me a smile, creating wrinkles in the corner of her eyes. I sheepishly smiled back then mumbled a quick 'hi'.

"Oh Megan, darling! You've grown so fast and beautiful!"

I blushed then looked down. "Aha, thanks?"

"Where's Luke, by the way?" Aunt Harper asked.

"I don't really know, but I think he's at work..." I shrugged.

"Okay then, your other cousins are in the backyard, you might want to talk to them..."

I nodded then headed to where most of my cousins are. When Alia, my favorite little cousin saw me, she dragged me to where she was sitting. I took a seat next to her chair then I fiddled with my thumbs shyly.

"Where's Luke, Megan?" Alia asked.

"Well, um...he's at work I think..." I shrugged.

"Can you call him?"

"I don't think so, he's at work you know and it's not allowed..." I replied while scratching the back of my neck shyly.

"And I don't have a phone." I mumbled quietly.

"You look so shy..." She giggled.

"Because I am..." I murmured.

"It's my birthday, you know?" She told me out of the blue catching me off guard.

What? It's my favorites cousin's birthday today and I didn't know?

"Oh, no one told me..." I frowned. "I don't have a gift for you."

"It's okay, Megan!" She giggled. "We just see each other once a year so I don't mind if you don't know much about me..."

"No. I should've known..." I scrunched my eyebrows. "How old are you, by the way?"

"I'm eight." She grinned. "I have a question..."

"Ask away!" I nodded gesturing her to speak.

"Do you have a boyfriend?" I definitely did not expect that kind of question. She's too young to know about boyfriends.

My eyes widen and I felt a heat crawling its way to my cheeks. "Why do you ask?"

"My sister, Beth has a boyfriend and they kiss each other and it made me curious...if you have."

That's a bad example! Geez. What kind of sister is she? Showing her little sibling that it's okay to kiss or whatever.

And my thoughts were being replaced by Luke. I wasn't a good little sister to him... I should've respect him and not attack him. I don't know why I was thinking about Luke but maybe it's just my conscience. I feel guilty now... he was right. I over reacted. Maybe I should apologize to him. My thoughts were interrupted by Alia, begging me to answer her question.
