Screams and cheers everywhere. The audiences are getting excited during which the stage is growing more and more electrifying. From where she is, in the backstage, it’s just so loud. It’s not that unbearable, it’s just loud. The music blaring through the speakers can barely hover it. Their showcase seems to be in a good standing so far. Nothing bad or major happened.
The boys are singing and dancing with all of their hearts – dedicated to the fans that are showing so much support as amazing audiences. Another successful concert they’ve pull off once again. Tehun, on the other hand, is smiling – glad that everything is going well. Even with that thought, she’s still afraid. Everybody is afraid like always. They’re anxious of things getting out of hand, but they always hope for the best.
“Sarme heorakdoen chukbokbadeun naldeure gamsahago,” Suho’s second solo part of the song comes up and she’s watching from the TV with a few of the crews. Of course, they all can hear the gasping of his voice throughout each word. It’s tiring work for them, plus the show’s thirty minutes in and they’re already worn out.
“Okay, people, two minutes to go! Get ready!” The set director gets in backstage room and lets the staffs know.
“My hands are faster than the speed of sound apparently, thank god.” Minsu, the costume designer, praises herself as she also looks at the tv screen – twirling her dyed blonde hair. Her small voice really opposes her self-image evidently.
“Are you sure? I think I’m faster.” Junho objects as he smirks at her.
“Guys, please.” Tehun joins in the conversation with her hands up – motions them to hold up. “We all know that I’m the lighting.”
“But that’s Chen.” Minsu states.
“Hey, you know what we’re talking about.” She scoffs in replies while the other two just chuckles at her.
She then ignores them and walks back to her station – getting ready. The hard thing about being part of a singer’s or band’s crew is the small breaks during the tours. They have to have their outfits changed, their makeup redone, and their energy filled up again for the next song in quite a short period – not wanting the audience waits for too long.
Taking a drink of water, she draws out her breath. The fact that she had to apply the makeups on the boys with the other beauty makeovers like her on the plane was a pain in the guts, but she wasn’t the only one. Minsu, Junho and the others like them were also in it.
Funny, how she messed up Kai’s mascara because of a very inconvenient turbulence. His forehead head was scribbled with the dark watery substance as he hung his mouth slightly open in a very surprising expression. Her yelps got everybody’s attention and of course, his teammates most certainly burst out laughing – totally forgot about the scary movements of the plane.
She tried to recover from her mistake, but only to have messed it up more.
And that moment she knew that that was the most terrible thing she had ever done to anyone using her talent.
Tehun then was stuck in a very awkward situation as her face looked like she was painted with a crimson red shade. Looking down at her jeans, she thought of how long she has had them in which she was playing with her fingernails.
As she did so, the victim himself quickly and shamelessly boosted towards the bathroom without any hesitations. The action only made each person tear up ever more.
