Gio's POV
I heard a knock on my door that woke me up out of my sleep. I opened my eyes to see that Honey wasn't by my side like she was when I️ had fallen asleep.
I turned around in my bed and looked at the doorway. There was my momma smiling at me.
"Momma? What are you doing here?"
She hand on a white dress. And her hair was up in a high bun with two neat curls on either side of her head. She looked so pretty
"I wanted to surprise you baby. I came to say good bye"
"Good bye? Wha-what do you mean, you just got here?"
"Mommy loves you baby"
She said turning around and walking away down the hallway.
"Momma? Wait!"
I pulled the covers off me and climbed out of bed. I slipped on my furry slides and followed after her. What would she be doing here? And why would she come all the way across the country just to leave again.
When i got to the top of the stair well i saw my momma standing there at the front door.
"Mom where are you going?"
"I love you Giovanni, with all of my heart
With that she turned around and walked out the front door, closing it behind her. I chased after her as quickly as i could and swung the door open to find nothing and no one there
It was quiet and eery. And all of a sudden i felt a quick tight grip on my shoulder that made me nearly jump out of my skin
I️ sat up straight in a cold sweat, opening my eyes to find that i was still laying in my bed.
It was just a dream.
What could that all have possible meant?
I was breathing quick and fast, trying to find the breath that i was out of
"Baby you okay, what's the matter?" Honey asked sitting up. Her voice low and raspy
I threw my arms around her and held her tight.
"I had a bad dream" i told her
"Bout what?" She squeezes me tighter and rubbed my back
"I don't know It was so.. weird. My mom came to say goodbye but.. i don't know why she came just to say goodbye. And then i couldnt find her anymore"
"It's okay, I'm sure it didn't mean much. It was just a dream" she pulled back to look into my eyes before kissing me on my forehead.
"Yeah your right" i looked down still having mixed feelings
"Come, lay back down. You should get some sleep".
I just nodded and laid down beside her, feeling her hand wrap around my waist and pull me closer.
Later that day
I had just gotten out of the shower. It had to be around 6 o'clock or something like that, i don't know. Honey had went home a few hours ago so she could check up on her mom and catch up on chores around the house. I missed her already.
I looked to my right while i was lotioning up and noticed i still had one of my candles burning. I got up and blew it put before going to my window and opening it p just so that the burnt smell wouldn't stay and linger around my room.
I took a second to admire how pretty the sun was setting. I was just about to walk away when I️ noticed Melody coming out of Honeys house.
Melody? What the hell is she doing over there?
