Chapter 4

Travis's POV

Wow. So that was what the scars were from. Like, the scars had always been bad, so we had always just assumed that the monster/hellhound/whatever excuse Katie had used was extremely vicious. But for her stepmother to do that, she must of hit her pretty hard. Ugh. "Travis... Travis!" I blinked. Something was waving in front of me. I blinked again. It was Conner's hand. "Travis! What did she say, man? You were like, out for a few minutes." "It's nothing. I'm fine Conner. Thanks." I said, not meaning it. He still looked worried, so I smirked at him and said, "Race ya!" "You're on!" He said, and with that, we raced to the cabin. "I won!" I shouted. "By, like, a second, bro!"

------time skip (later that evening)--------

Conner's POV

At 7:00 that night, we all met in Bunker 9.
"Okay, so, that didn't work." Percy stated.
"We need a new plan." Said Annabeth.
"A good one." Miranda said.
"And this time, we ask for my mother's blessing." Said Piper.
"Guys... I think I have it." I said.

Katie's POV

I was a mess. I needed to go to see Travis. He probably thought that I was some weak loser idiot now. Not that I cared. I think. Ugh. So I took a shower and washed myself. But just as I stepped out the door, Miranda called, "Hey Katie, couldja get me another spade from the shed?" "Sure." I replied, then stepped into the shed. As soon as I stepped in to the shed, the door was slammed and locked behind me.
"Hey! Miranda, open up! I am so going to kill you after this!"
"Katie?" "Travis? Please don't tell me this is one of your stupid pranks." "No, it isn't. Conner pushed me in three minutes ago." "Oh. Okay."

To my non-existent readers, sorry for the short chapter, but I just arrived in Bangkok, Thailand and that has a 15 HR time difference so I'm really jet lagged. It's like 3am in Canada and 7pm here and I can't sleep. Anyways, sorry for the short chapter. The next one will be longer. Bye:-)
