You walk up to an empty cafe, the bell rings as Brook pushes the door open and holds it there for you. A bored looking barista lifts her head and rolls her eyes at you. Brooklyn takes your hand and leads you to a window seat, there was a small pot of flowers in the middle of the table and matching salt and pepper pots either side of it.
You sit down and nervously play with the napkin to your side,
"So what's a pretty girl like you doing on her own then?" Brook starts, smiling a little. You take a deep breath,
"Basically my mum and I have never gotten along. She blames me for my dad leaving so she starts arguments everyday. When I was little I was bullied a lot so I've grown up with insecurities that she likes to pick on" you blurt out. Not really sure why you're telling him this. He just looks at at you with is mouth agape. Silence surrounds you both as he tries to figure out what to say.
"I'm so sorry, I can't believe she treats you like that" he finally breaths out. "It's ridiculous you seem like such a lovely girl. Not to mention that you're gorgeous too" he adds on. You blush,
"Thank you, I don't think I am. But thank you" Brook frowns,
"Y/n you are the most beautiful girl I've ever met. I'm being honest, your hair is gorgeously long and your eyes literally pull me into your soul. I don't know why you can't see this about yourself" You blush some more, happy that someone as amazing as Brooklyn thinks this about you. Brook grabs a menu,
"So, how about this coffee?"
