Chapter One
Oh my God. I’m so late to set. And this is the last day of the shoot… The crew is going to kill me.
Noelle hopped in her car as fast as she could and quickly drove to set, trying not to get involved in an accident.
Once she arrived on set she hurried towards the place where the trailers were. “Hey, I’m so sorry that I’m late.”
“There you are!” the movie director, Nick, exclaimed. “Go get changed in your trailer as quickly as you can.” Nick didn’t have to tell her twice, she ran to the trailer and got changed in a record time.
“Alright, everyone! She’s here. We’ve got our lead. Last day on the set. One more scene to go, guys! The final scene.” Noelle had been filming this alien movie for the past eight months and she was glad that it was finally over, because her costar wasn’t the nicest guy she’s met.
She walked over to the set where they were supposed to film the final scene. She noticed her costar was already standing there. He didn’t look too bad with his black hair and strong jaw, but he was aware of the fact that women seemed to think he was good looking so he used it to his advantage and became very cocky. “Hey Tim, sorry about that. I’m ready to go,” she said, apologizing for arriving late.
Tim looked at her confused. “Hey there, uh…”
He can’t be serious, he still can’t remember her name? “Ugh, I’ve had to remind you of my name, like, eleven times. It’s Noelle.”
“Noelle! Right. I was, uh, totally just kidding,” he awkwardly smiles at her. Noelle knew he was totally lying, he just didn’t want to remember her name. “Anyway, you’re looking good enough to take around town today. You’re a straight nine today. Maybe even nine and a half… Total arm candy.”
Noelle sighs, “I really wish you wouldn’t talk to me like that.”
Nick yelled out, “Quiet on the set. And we’re rolling in three… two…”
Noelle started doing the one thing she loved with all her heart, acting. “You saved me… you saved me from the aliens! They were… they were so close… I was s-so scared… How will I ever repay you?” She looked at Tim.
“Repay me? Having met you is all the payment I’ll ever want or need.”
Noelle gasped. “I don’t know what to say!”
“You don’t have to say anything. I love you and I want to keep loving you for the rest of my life.” Noelle gasped again and Tim started leaning in and finally closed his mouth over hers.
“And cut!” Nick yelled. “Marvelous work, you two! We got the shot in one take! And my God, it was perfect… That’s a wrap!”
Tim laughed before saying, “Finally. That was the cheesiest scene I’ve ever had to do.”
“Oh, I actually really liked it. I thought it was kind of sweet. It ends the movie so perfectly. I think it’ll resonate with our audience. And that’s really what matters most. That people enjoy themselves.”
“I don’t care about what the audience thinks of it, I just want to get some dollars,” Tim said and Noelle rolled her eyes at his statement. “So, am I slinging you around L.A. on my arm tonight or what? I have some other girls coming to this club, but there’s room for one more…”
He can’t seriously think she’s going to come with him, he’s never even been nice to her. “Oh. Um, I don’t think so, dude. I’m good at that one. Thanks though.”
