It really shakes me up the way some teachers run their classrooms and I think back to this all the time. I was aiding for a middle school intensive math class, were their grouped 6th, 7th, and 8th graders all together to develop math skills and there was this eighth grade girl and they were supposed to be doing these online assignments and the teacher game over and she was like why are you doing the seventh grade assignments. And the girl was like this is my class I don't know how to do the other ones. and the teacher was like what grade are you in and she was like 8th grade. And then one if the other students was telling the teacher she's in eighth grade but she is still taking seventh grade math and the teacher was like I don't care you're in my class you're in eighth grade so you're going to do the eighth grade work. And when she went over to the teacher to ask for help the teacher just said oh its not this hard you should know how to do this and if you don't finish you're ending this quarter with a D. And that's just really messed up to me a student was struggling and instead of being reasonable or helping them when you were unreasonable you embarrassed them for something that wasn't even their fault. And how dare you call yourself a teacher. A teacher teaches all part of a child. Its not like they teach math and they check out. You are raising a soul. A young soul. That job is priceless, that little child struggled and failed the quarter because the teacher assigned her work that she could not do and when she tried to get help the teacher shoved her down and embarrassed her. That to me is utterly shameful and a dishonor that schools place individuals in a classroom to shame and discourage and hurt children and their mindsets.
