Jades POV
Hollow eyes. Lifeless faces. Glowing bodies. Almost everyone , or should I say everything, that I have encountered has had these elements. I'm Jade Vanessa Jeans, and my best friend Jax Ryder Jons was one of the only people who I trusted. As of now, I was on my way into school. The hell hole for teens. I was just about to go on a hunt to find Jax, but he had already found me.
"Hello, Miss. Bitches a lot!" He greeted me. I slapped him with a slight laugh escaping my mouth. Two jocks came over, I murmured something under my breath as I saw the two meatheads in front do us.
"Hey Jax! Kissey Kissey!" They pretend to make out. I clenched my fist. The idiots turned to me.
"Hey SCREAM. What's your wig made out of?!" One of the jocks asked, slapping his friend on the back.
"YOUR MOM'S BACK HAIR!" I screamed. Jax grabbed the fist, I had started to raise. The idiots looked at me. And I saw her. Again. And she was yelling at me.
Jax POV
"What's wrong with this girl?" One murmured with a smirk plastered on his face.
"Nothing, now leave her alone or my foot will be up your-" I growl, cutting my self off. Jade. She's all that matter right now. I spin to face her. I put my hand on her shoulder.
"You ok?" I ask, looking into her dazed eyes.
"You didn't see it? The lady? She was right there." She pointed to where the jocks were standing.
"Sweetie, I know they are bitches, and bitches are females but I'm pretty I sure they are just two dudes." I whisper to her. The Jocks smirk.
"This girl is crazy." One laughs. Then hits the friend on the shoulder. "Yo, we have to get to class man." He says looking at the clock. I clap and they turn to me with scowls on their faces.
"What? You can tell time! That's an achievement! For you at least..." I snicker.
"Whatever. Bye weirdos." They say and strut away. Well, not really strut. But Boy Diva walk.
"We should get going, ok Jadie?" I ask softly. She nods slowly.
"Are you sure you didn't see-" Jade mumbles to me.
"No time for chit chat, we gotta get to class." I tell her and grab her hand, pulling her along with me.
******IN HOMEROOM
JADE POV
I sat in my desk, rubbing my temples. 'She's not here. She's fake.' I looked at the over at Jax, he sent me a stuck out tongue. I turned away. ' I love you Jax, but I could kill you right now.' Our homeroom "teacher" put her briefcase on her desk. She sat down and grabbed an apple.
"How come you can eat in class?!" Jax yelled, putting his hands around his mouth. She frowned her sour lemon frown. ' I hate her.' I rolled my eyes. I looked down at my desk pulling out my notebook. Writing, reading and performing. My three favorite things. (Oh and food.) I looked up and saw another glowing figure. But this time, I knew them. It was my brother, Joseph. (He committed suicide a month ago.) He was walking towards me. I was terrified. I can't believe that I see my brother. I've never seen my brother. my heart beat quickly, pounding out of my chest. I swallowed loudly, a lump stuck in my throat. I tried to act calm in front of Joseph because he was always so cool. Even though he was hurt, he always seemed so cool and calmed when he hung out with me and my sister, Dafnee. Luckily I was in the back of the room alone and was able to whisper quietly to him.Luckily I was in the back of the room alone and was able to whisper quietly to him.
"How are you able to be here? And why'd you leave?" I asked, pretending to pick up a pencil as I tried to touch his foot. It was solid. 'How the...'
"Because you're special Jade. Very special." He folded his hands and bounced his knees. He was wearing his pajamas. Blue lounge pants and a black tank top. His hair was in the messy black fuzz it's always in. I have the same hair, but it is covered with an abundant of colors.
His blue eyes seemed to twinkle. They always do. I love my brother. I wish he hadn't done what he did. "I know you do." He said answering my unasked question. "But, I wasn't happy J. They were hurting me. I'm sorry I left you." He closed his eyes. "I must leave. But just know, you aren't weird. You'll never be weird. Love you, bye." And he faded away just as quickly as he appeared.
