Chapter 16

Tom's POV

~Time Skip 2 weeks~

It has been two weeks since both Edd's and mine encounter with our patient Tord Olsen. After what happened, our boss wouldn't get us reassigned to someone else but let us have vacation time instead, which is coming to an end now.

We have finally moved to our new house which has been difficult but things have gotten better. Matt is on a whole new level of annoying but I'm trying my best to not snap at him for it.

Edd and I have both decided to get over Tord and look for new people but that didn't work out for either of us... Then we thought about giving each other a shot. I mean, we have some things in common and clearly similar interests. Luckily, things have worked out between us and we have been dating ever since. Things aren't really intimate between us though but it's tolerable.

We both are on our last day of vacation and are dreading for tomorrow to arrive. Neither of us want to endure being in the same room as a monster...

Edd, Matt, and I are sitting on the couch watching a movie together. Edd was in the middle and I had an arm around his shoulder. When the movie ended, we all decided to go out to a bar and have fun.

"You guys go ahead. I'll just be here looking at my beautiful~ self" Matt said as he looked through one of his hand held mirrors.

"No Matt! Come with us! Let's all have fun while we still can!!! Plus, you need to make friends. Tom and I are the only friends you have!" Edd objected while giving Matt a concerning look.

"That's not true! I'm friends with you, Tom and Todd." Matt said quite proudly.

Edd and I looked at each other in confusion "Todd?" We both said in unison.

"Yeah! Actually he's a patient at the hospital you two work at but I'm sure he'll get out soon! He looked pretty sane to me!!!" Matt smiled.

I sighed but then got an idea.

"Hey Matt, why don't you come with us tomorrow? Then you can show us this 'Todd' and we can all become friends" I suggested.

"That's a great idea! And while we are there, we can pick up more of that medication you need to take." Edd said.

"Alright" Matt said before turning back to his mirror.

Edd and I left Matt to himself as we walked out the front door to go to the nearby bar.

~Time Skip~

I woke up to Edd screaming my name from the kitchen, telling me to wake up. I groaned and rubbed my eyes. I'm glad I didn't drink that much cups of alcohol last night...

I changed into my work cloths before stepping out into the kitchen. Edd greeted me with a plate of breakfast. I started drooling when I looked down at it. I excitedly sat down of the table and gobbled all of the food up.

I put my plate in the sink and walked up behind Edd, wrapping my arms around his waist. He giggled. He got out of my arms and turned around to face me, holding out a full lunch pale. I smiled and kissed him on the cheek. He blushed but giggled again.

He walked me out all the way to the car. I drove away from our house, heading to my work. I wish he didn't have to take separate vehicles... At least he has Matt with him.

I finally arrived to the hospital that I work at. I walked in and immediately headed towards my patient's room. I just wanted to get everything done already.

As I entered the outer part of the room, I noticed something different about it. On a once empty wall, there was a big wide flat screen TV. In front of it was a table with a microphone. To the side there was a small file storage cabinet.

I walked up to the table and stared at the microphone in the center of it. Only then, did I notice a remote. I grabbed it and held it close to my face to get a look at it. It was your typical small remote, it had all the usual buttons. The curiosity got to me as I pushed the power button.

I noticed the TV turned on but the screen was all black and white lines and made static noises. I then pushed the up side of the channel button, it delayed for a moment but I was then only to be greeted by a similar screen. I kept changing the channel but never found the right one. In frustration, I threw the remote at the wall, above the file cabinet. The back came off of the small remote and all the batteries flew out. Then I noticed a note placed on the file cabinet. I picked it up.

Channel 738

I grabbed all the pieces of that remote and put it all together once again. I pushed the number buttons 7-3-8. It delayed once again. Geez, why are there so many channels on the stupid television-

"HOLY RED ELEPHANTS EATING A HOTDOG!!!"

I ran out of the room as fast as possible, to my boss's office to get some answers. Not only that, I was running away from the image that appeared on the screen before me.

Hey Guys!!! I feel bad about the last chapter, it was kinda pointless so I deleted it (if any of you noticed). So I decided to make it up to you guys by drawing a quick picture of Tom!!
