Tom's POV

I just got finished meeting with my regular patient, Matt Wilson. He's a nice guy who I think doesn't belong in this kinda of place. Sure, he's got one hell of a personality but that just makes him more enjoyable to be around. Our conversations mostly consists of himself or his friend Edd.

I know I won't be working with him for much longer. He'll hopefully be released soon. I'm sure going to miss that idiot.

I left his room locking the door behind me. I began walking down the hall when I noticed the new nurse, Edd, waiting outside one of the "safe-room ". I waved hello to him. He waved right back and walked up to me.

"Hey! Dr Night! How's your day been?!?" he said quite cheerful.

"Please, call me Tom. And my day has been average. Lemme guess, you want to know how Matt is doing? He's never been better" I pulled a weak smile trying to reassure him.

"That's great news!!! But I was thinking, Tom, maybe we should hang out sometime after work!"

" Sorry kid. By the time I'm done, it'll be past your bed time but maybe we can go out for drinks some other day?"

"Cola?"

"Sure kid" I laughed at him as I walked off.

I later walked into my office setting all my belongings down and just fell back into my chair. The hours have been longer lately. All Boring and uneventful. I need something new to happen or I might go insane. I pulled the little bottle out of my front pocket and took a sip. Then another. Then I finished the whole bottle. Damn it. I shoved the bottle in one of the drawers and covered my face with my hands.

I heard a knock coming from my door. I told them to come in. I took my hands off my face and looked up to see who it was. It was my beloved boss.

I sighed "What?"

" Hey Tom, I noticed Matt has been getting good reports for awhile now, by the nurses and by you, his doctor. You thinks he good now?" He said.

" Yeah. He has always been, just had a slip up, I don't see why he was forced to stay as long as he did but that's not my problem. Arrghhh, I'm his doctor, so I guess it is."

" Was his doctor"

"What" I snapped.

"We had a new guy come in, a special case. Real special. Sent specifically by her majesty. Anyway, he needs a doc assigned to him and I was thinking you could do the job." Always straight to the point with this guy.

" Why me? Why not Jon?!?"

"Well that's because you have more experience than Jon and he isn't as tough as you"

"Tough?"

"Special case, remember?"

" Oh yeah"

"Well anyways, you don't really have a choice. I know you would have just said no if I gave you one. I don't have anyone else I think can handle this. Here's his files. Check him out. Your first meeting with him is tomorrow at 3 pm. Good luck!" He said as he threw an envelope at me then left my office without another word.

Of course he just signs me up before even asking. He didn't even let me talk. I opened up the envelope he gave me and read my new patients files. "Tord Olsen" Why does that name sound familiar to me??? I searched and found a picture of him.

" Oh hell no"

~Time Skip~

I ran into my boss's office and slammed my hands on his desk.

" WHAT KIND OF SICK JOKE IS THIS!?! YOU ASSIGNED ME TO THE LEADER OF THE RED ARMY!!?!!"

"Tom calm down-" he tried to say.

" NO DO NOT TELL ME TO 'CALM DOWN'! WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU THINK I COULD HANDLE A MONSTER LIKE THAT!!! WHY IS HE EVEN HERE? HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN EXECUTED!?!"

He sighed " I don't know either, Tom. All I know is we have been trusted by her majesty. Luckily for us, his current whereabouts have been kept in real hush hush, so we don't have to worry about some of his friends coming to get him. You and Edd have been assigned to watch-"

" YOU MEAN THAT KID!" I interrupted him. " HE'S IN THAT ROOM!?! WHY DON'T WE HAVE GUARDS THERE!?!" Pounding my hands on his desk once again.

" Honestly, Tom, calm down. We don't have the kind of money to hire guards for him plus he's already well secured. And I think Edd is also capable of taking care of him. Sure, he's new but he's got talent."

I faced palmed myself in frustration. Damn this guy gets on my nerves!

" Tom this will be the last I hear of this issue, understand? You're being over dramatic. I think it's an honor to have your position. Remember you're first meeting with him is at 3 pm and don't forget to check up on Edd so he can introdu-"

" Yeah yeah whatever" I waved him away as I walked out of he's office and closed the door. " I'm going to need a lot of Smirnoff"

~Time Skip~

I walked up to find Edd near the door. I waved hello and he waved back, excitedly.

" Tom! I can't believe we'll both be working with the same patient! Wait, does that mean Matt will be sent free???" He looked at me with the biggest puppy dog eyes ever, making me uncomfortable.

" Most likely"

He jumped up and danced around. I sometimes forget that this is the Edd Matt talks about. Matt always describes him as the brave, motherly leader type. So far I've only seen skittish, clumsy child. Maybe I'll be proved wrong soon, seeing that I'll be seeing him quite often from now on.

" Oh wait! Tom you don't look so good! Are you okay??? Oh my god, are you hung over?!?" He looked worried.

"Yeah just drank a lot last night to keep my mind off things, maybe a little to much"

" Oh my! And the night before work?!?"

"Well when you're about to work with an psychotic murderer and didn't have a choice to do so, you would have to!" I snapped back at him.

"I guess you're right" He looked at a clock, "You ready???"

"Never will be"

I had Edd unlock the door. My heart started beating loudly, I was honestly scared. I was going to be face to face with man who had literally killed thousands and plan to still do that even when he's locked up! I felt unsafe only having a clipboard, pen, and a foldable chair in hand. Edd opened the door for me and I thanked him, then telling him to lock the door behind me.

I walked a bit further into the room, unfolded my chair, sat down. I looked at his files once again, trying to occupy myself. My heart was pounding so loudly in my ears. I was trying not to shake and look weak. I felt trapped in this small room. Even though I knew I hand the upper hand, not the monster that sat in front of me.

I felt a sudden shift in the air of the room and I looked up to only be greeted by a wide, toothy grin.

"Hallo, Doctor~"
