Song: Zac Brown Band "Colder Weather"

Warning Rated M for Mature Audiences

A few months had passed since Sam and Rachel met again in Nashville, Tennessee.

They spent as much time as they could with one another until it was time to get back to work.

Rachel had auditions lined up, while Sam had shows to perform plus work on his upcoming album.

Sam was missing the hell out of Rachel. He was so happy to have her back into his life. He knew they had to talk, but then again was it necessary? They can't live in the past. They have right now and the future. He sees Rachel in his future.

Sam sat on his stool at Tootsies in Nashville. He was going on Saturday to perform the National Anthem at Bridgestone for the Nashville Preds hockey game. He was super stoked.

The weather had turned colder. These were nights that he wished Rachel was with him. Snuggled in front of a fireplace, cuddles and lots of lovin'.

The women still screamed for him. But, honestly there was only one woman he needed. He definitely didn't need the gal in the front lifting up her shirt flashing her boobs. In high school he would've loved that. Now? Only one pair he wanted, and Rachel was perfect in every way.

"Hey y'all! I'm Sam Evans, welcome to Tootsies. Thanks for being here on this very cold Winter night. " he started.

"We love you Sammy!!" The crowd said.

"Awe I love y'all too. If you don't mind I'd love to sing this new song I've been working on. It's a cold night, I'm missing my lady. How are y'all dealing being stuck in Colder Weather?" He said, strumming his guitar.

Sam looked at her photo in front of him. His inspiration.

His beautiful Ray of Sunshine

[Sam]
She'd trade Colorado if he'd take her with him
Closes the door before the winter lets the cold in,
And wonders if her love is strong enough to make him stay,
She's answered by the tail lights
Shining through the window pane

[Sam]
He said I wanna see you again
But I'm stuck in colder weather
Maybe tomorrow will be better
Can I call you then
She said you're ramblin' man
You ain't ever gonna change
You gotta gypsy soul to blame
And you were born for leavin'

At a truck stop diner just outside of Lincoln,
The night is black as the coffee he was drinkin',
And in the waitress' eyes he sees the same 'ol light shinin',
He thinks of Colorado
And the girl he left behind

He said I wanna see you again
But I'm stuck in colder weather
Maybe tomorrow will be better
Can I call you then
She said you're ramblin' man
You ain't ever gonna change
You gotta gypsy soul to blame
And you were born for leavin'

Born for leavin'

Well it's a winding road
When your in the lost and found
You're a lover I'm a runner
We go 'round 'n 'round
And I love you but I leave you
I don't want you but I need you
You know it's you who calls me back here

Oh I wanna see you again
But I'm stuck in colder weather
Maybe tomorrow will be better
Can I call you then
'Cause I'm a ramblin' man
I ain't ever gonna change
I gotta gypsy soul
And I was born for leavin' (born for leavin')

When I close my eyes I see you
No matter where I am
I can smell your perfume through these whispering pines
I'm with your ghost again
It's a shame about the weather
I know soon we'll be together
And I can't wait 'til then
I can't wait 'til then

Sam finished the final verse. He wiped a tear. He looked at his crowd who were wiping tears as well.

He really wished Rachel was there. He needed her.

"Thanks y'all. I just wish my girl were here to listen to that song. Guys, always tell your lady how much she means. Tomorrow is never promised. Really wish my Rachel could hear me now."

Suddenly the crowd gasped, and a few girls booed. Sam looked over and he blinked.

She was here.

"I did hear you Samuel Evans." Rachel said with her phone.

Sam got off of his stool. He knew he had a show and didn't care.

"I love you Rachel Barbra Berry." Sam declared.

"I love you too, Sam." Rachel replied back.

Sam didn't care who watched. He gave his girl the most sensual kiss.

The crowd cheered.

"Warm up later?" Rachel teased.

"Yes ma'am." Sam said, smiling.

"Good, now back to work." Rachel replied. Sam nodded.

"Got to love this colder weather." He declared.

The show must go on...
