"The Pythia, whose words were often cryptic, said only a few words: "The curse. The moon. The blood will run.""
-Part of the story of the origins of the vampire.
———Snow. It's beautiful. Small little white flakes gently falling down and evaporating as they hit the ground. The ground is much hotter, so the snowflakes evaporate on contact. But as the ground loses heat, the snow manages to stay.
"Hey Jesse! Bet you can't catch me!" A woman with pale skin and orange hair said. Her hair went up to her shoulders and had a blue bandana. With her grayish eyes and smirk, she readied some snow. She currently wasn't in her armour, but rather in a blue sweater and black sweatpants. She throws a snowball at a man, with brown hair, and green emerald eyes. He's wearing a navy coat and snowpants. It's cold outside, and the snowball hits him. The woman, Petra, bursts out laughing.
"Hey! That's not fair! I wasn't ready!" Jesse was tying a lace from his boot as he had gotten hit. He prepared a snowball and threw it back at Petra, who was running away. He got up and ran after her, before bumping into someone else. Another male, with blonde hair, except you wouldn't be able to see his hair, he had his hood on. He wore a blue jacket, and didn't have snowpants. You could see his shaking legs. His eyes were blue, like the clear ocean water, and he held a mug of hot chocolate, and you could see the steam. As Jesse bumped into him, they both fell. "Sorry Lukas!" Jesse apologized. Lukas had faceplanted, still holding the mug of hot chocolate. None of it had spilled, surprisingly. He have a thumbs up. Jesse got up and kept running after Petra, following her tracks. Her tracks disappeared at the beginning of a forest. He narrowed his eyes and proceeded to walk forward, before getting tackled. He screamed, and took out a stick and smacked the figure on top of him.
"Ow! Great, that's one way to say hi." It was Petra. She narrowed her eyes at him. Jesse blushed slightly. He was embarrassed at the position they were in. Noticing his blush, Petra got off him. "Sorry."
"N-no that's fine." Jesse managed to say nervously. He got up. They just stood there for a bit, before Petra cleared her throat.
"I mean I guess I caught you." Jesse interrupted her. She nodded.
"Where are the others?"
"Doing their own thing. Lukas is heading down to skate."
"Oh." Petra replied. They stared at each other once again. "Oh hey! I found this weird spooky mansion! Maybe we could explore it!" She suddenly exclaimed. Jesse jumped slightly, before relaxing and shaking his head.
"What if it's dangerous? Drug dealers? Murderers?" He said. Petra grinned.
"I'll bet you ten diamonds if you convince the rest of the gang, and yourself, to come." She snickered. Jesse thought about it. He really didn't want diamonds, but what harm could this spooky mansion be? Maybe he was overreacting.
"Fine... no diamonds though. If we die I'm blaming it on you." He flatly stated.
Petra nodded, and sat on a rock nearby, meanwhile Jesse went to convince the rest of their gang to come join them.
They'll just have to hope nothing goes wrong.
