Lack-Two and Whi-Two hurried up the path towards the Marine Tube. As the sun waited to be touched by the horizon, kids and adults slowly left the tube. The two suddenly found themselves alone when the last group of people left the structure.

"Wow," said Whi-Two. "Luvdiscs!"

"Basculins too!" hissed Lack-Two.

"But seriously, we need to get going before they find me — us."

"Y-yeah."

"May I ask you a question, Blake?"

The boy turned to her, "Sure."

She was still facing the Pokémon. "D-do you know what happened to White? I mean, you asked me about her."

Lack-Two closed his eyes and let his tired eyes rest, "Yeah.. well.. White was my cousin Black's companion on his journey to beat the Pokémon league.."

"You have a cousin?! Maybe we could visit him and see if he can help us find White!"

"No, they're both missing."

"..Huh?!"

"Yeah.."

"Well uh.. I'm guessing you're trying to find this Black? Your cousin?"

"Yeah."

Whi-Two bit her lip. "Anyways, let's get going."

Lack-Two ran through the tube, running ahead of Whi-Two. "What is this?!" She shouted. "A race?!"

"Sure!"

Whi-Two caught up with him and gave him a smirk before going ahead. "Hey!"

"You said it was a race!"

Lack-Two had finally caught up with her when he decided to push his legs harder. Humilau City was close. Without thinking, Whi-Two jumped onto him. He all of the sudden felt heavy weight on him and collapsed.

"What do you think you're doing?!" he cried. "You're freaking heavy!"

"Says the charmer."

Lack-Two ignored her. He got up and let her lay on his back. As he walked, he used his hands to hold up Whi-Two.

"What are you doing?!"

"Your voice sounds sleepy. What were you doing all day?"

"Stuff."

"That's not an answer I was looking for."

"Fine, I was training my Pokémon."

Lack-Two didn't respond but was thinking as he trudged on. Whi-Two used her free hand to lightly hit his head. "Something on your mind?"

"What happened to your parents? Do you have any parents?"

"Uh.. well.. yeah," she said. "Before I ran away from them."

"Did they abuse you or what?"

"No. They were loving, but I always felt that a part of them didn't want me in the first place."

"How?"

"Well.. I had a brother. They obviously treasured him more than me. My parents kept an eye on him so he would be the 'successful one'. I didn't really mind since I was a lazy person. But the more I saw, the more I noticed. So, uh, I ran away."

Lack-Two frowned. "Okay. I'm going to let you down now."

Whi-Two jumped off of him and felt the soft ground. "Humilau City!"
