The Guards escorted Ava to a large set of double doors. They were covered in moss and they were splintered. One door was falling off its hinges and the other had a few chunks missing. The stone floor was cracked and uneven and weeds were sprouting from somewhere below.

As soon as they reached the doors, Ava had already taken a guess at what would happen. And of course, she was right. The man set Ava down and right as her feet were less than an inch from the floor, the magic started happening.

A gust of wind shot out of the ground and then the whole area looked different. The doors looked like they had been placed yesterday. The cracks in the walls and floors were fixed. Newly lit candles hung from the roof. The room looked worthy to be inside the grandest off castles.

The guard that had carried Ava raised his eyebrow.

"You're magic might keep you alive, but with Kyron, there's no telling." he stated. "The more good deeds you do for this village, the higher percentage you have of survival."

"Mmmmmm!" Ava groaned.

"Promise not to scream, and I'll take off the gag." The man said. Ava nodded and he removed the gag, almost choking Ava to death in the process.

"Yuck!" Ava exclaimed.

"No spells either, or I'll pummel you."

"I know my limits. Anyways, who are you?"

"I'm Dominic."

"Lovely name!" Ava tried to sweet talk him.

"Please don't even try it. Lets just get this over with." Dominic pushed open the doors and led Ava into the room.

In all honesty, it was a lot different than Ava had imagined. It looked like one of those Roman fighting arenas. There were rows of seats that were elevated above the main area. Lots off the seats were empty, but there were still a decent amount of people whose attention was on her. In the middle of the room, there was a chair where Ava was seated, and in the front of the room was a podium.

Standing at the podium was the pale man. Except he looked a lot different. He wore a black leather jacket over a dark gray t-shirt, black jeans with fake rips in them, and black combat boots. And Ava could tell, even from a distance that A) She liked this guy already, and B) He wore some pretty heavy eyeliner. Even though his tattoo was covered by his sleeve, she could still see his black fingertips.

Once Ava was seated, the boy raised his hand and the whole room fell silent. Than, he gestured towards Ava, and the ground started to quake. Two skele-wolves rose from the ground on either side of her chair and sat. Than, the man spoke.

"I am Kyron, the lead guard of this village. These are my pets. I will be asking a few simple questions. Lie to me, and the will rip you to shreds."

"Thanks for the heads up." Ava mumbled.

Kyron waved his hand, and Ava's bindings disappeared.

"Much better!" Ava exclaimed as she rubbed her wrists. "That was quite uncomfortable!"

"Who are you?" Kyron asked.

"My name is Avanen, but I go by Ava."

"Where'd you come from and how did you find us?"

"Ask yourself that question." Ava muttered, too quiet for anyone to hear.

"Excuse me?" Kyron asked.

"I don't know. I think I've got amnesia or something. I don't remember anything before yesterday. Honestly no idea what happened in my live before then. Strange, isn't it?"
