A/n: Yeah. I'm back. Sorry I've been gone. I really was just unmotivated to write this story. But yo. I'm here to complete it now. So here I am and stop ya'lls damn complaining.
👀👌🏾 enjoy the series fools
-Y/n stared at the paper on her desk. Her hand held the pencil as she tried to dig through her thoughts on what she was once thinking off.
“...my god…” She groaned in frustration. She rubbed her face and sighed into her hand. She's been up all night. Trying to finish her essay for her class. If she didn't finish this. Her professor would not hesitate to drop her from class.
This semester Y/n managed to miss up to 12 classes in total. Day and Night classes. For various reasons. One because of her monster friend, Ink. She would get so distracted by his magical uses and dragging her off to another world, Y/n would often forget that she still had real world things to do other than bounce around with Ink all the time.
Y/n tapped her clammy fingers on the desk in her room and opened her eyes once more.
“...you seem a bit stressed.” Ink's voice came into play. Y/n flinched. Feeling her heart jump into her throat. She quickly turned around in her seat and looked at Ink whom was seated on her bed. Hands on his knees.
Once Y/n's eyes landed on him, he gave her a soft smile and stood up. Y/n slowly calmed down. Seeing it was only Ink. But, she was still on edge.
“Yeah. Just. stuck on this essay is all.” She turned back around in her seat and rested her head in the palms of her hands.
Ink stood up and walked over to Y/n. It only took him a slow swipe in the air for a chair to appear. The dark ink formed a chair. Ink sat down next to Y/n and looked at her form.
Oh no. She was upset.
Ink slowly frowned. His shaped pupils looked at the paper that was on the desk. It was blank. Yet crumpled up. Letting him know she was fiddling around with the paper for some hours.
“Aw. Sweetpea. are you stuck on something?” He asked. Eyes still glued to the paper. Y/n glanced and him and slowly nodded. She felt like a child talking to their mother about a problem.
“What is it?” He asked. He turned his body to look at her. Y/n only shrugged slowly.
“You're gonna have to talk to me for me to understand, hon.” Ink piped up. Y/n always hated when Ink babied her. She always told him.
“Ink, I'm not a kid!.” And then would proceed to cross her arms.
But. Ink wouldn't pay attention to any of that. He'll do it anyway.“Right now. I'm failing one of my classes. And I need to pass it. I need to Ink. I've already paid to go to this-this stupid University. Yet. Here I am, messing around and not getting things done. This, is the only class I'm failing. I have so much work to turn in to make up for the loss. In two weeks! Before this semester ends. If I don't. I fucked up. I'm getting dropped out the class. and I don't wanna get dropped out. Because-because--”
Y/n felt her throat burn and tighten as she coiled and covered her face with her hands.
“Because if I don't. Pass this class. I'm not gonna progress into the career I want..” she whimpered. It took Ink a moment to realize she was crying, or more of. Having a breakdown to be honest.
“Oh no-no. Don't cry.” He quickly said. His placed his hands on her forearms and softly pried away her hands from her wet face. He studied her for a moment.
“Hey. If it makes ya’ feel better. I can help you with your work and with studyin’ and all that. I do see you humans often study, which helps exercise the brain to remember certain things.” He told her. Y/n looked up at him. Damn. all this time she could have asked Ink for help.
