Dear M.C.,                                        02.07.17

Hello! Thank you for the letter!

All of it was honestly a surprise! I've never known anyone to have a crush on me. No one has ever approached me like this. I'm glad that you did. I wish I could meet you, you seem really nice. I tend to gravitate towards nice people.

What I don't understand is the fact that we're in the same class and I've never noticed you? That's probably true. I tend to focus too much on my grades. I don't usually socialize outside of my friend group.

But thank you for all those compliments. I don't agree but they made my week. I don't usually get compliments like those except from my parents. It makes me happy to know that the work that I put into my appearance doesn't go unnoticed! And, I'm really glad that you liked my hair.

It was really expensive to dye. I was thinking of dying in another color next week but I don't know what color to choose. Do you have any ideas? I would love to hear what you think.

I'm still kind of shocked that I don't notice you! I'm observant, I swear! But, I'm glad I helped you collect your books and gave you that book but I wish you had talked to me. Maybe then I would at least know you.

Hey, maybe we could be friends? Then maybe you could show me some of those drawings that you were talking about. I would like to see one! I'm not very good at drawing. I would like to learn, though.

Maybe you could teach me? That way I can meet you!

I'm writing back to you so that you know that there is a chance I will like you back, even if it is kind of awkward. I'm not the best with words, as you can see, and I've never had a boyfriend or a girlfriend before so I don't know how this works.

I think that we could trade each other letters. I'll leave this in my locker. I'll trust that you'll be able to find it. You seem like a smart person.

Well, you should rest and eat well.
I hope I can meet you soon.
I wish you a great day!

Sincerely,
Park Jimin
