Summer Doesn't Last Forever (A Keaton Stromberg Story)

Chapter 35

*Blair's POV*

Everyone was already here. Keaton had given me some of Breezie's clothes to wear and kept saying she didn't mind. I met all of the boys friends and family and they were all so sweet and nice. Now, we were all waiting for Tay to arrive with Wes.

I was talking to Breezie and Taylor Ridge when Keaton practically freaked out.

"Everyone hide!" he yelled before grabbing me and ducking behind the couch. You would think that it was his birthday.. but it was only a homecoming party for them.

I heard the front door open and then close.

"Tay.. what's going o-" Wes started but then we all jumped out of our hiding spots.

"SURPRISE!" we all yelled and Wes' reaction was priceless.

"What's all this for?" he asked and Keaton and I walked up to him.

"Welcome home bro" Keats said and I smiled at him.

"Aww I love you guys" Wes said as he pulled us in for a group hug.

Wes went to mingle with all his friends and I stood there with Keaton's arms around me. Tay left to go get a drink.

"I'm happy we did this" I said and Keaton nodded.

"I thought you didn't like parties.." Keaton said cautiously. Memories of the last party, and first, ran through my mind.

I would be lying if I said I didn't remember that night like it was yesterday. Yes, it was only three nights ago, but all I wanted was to forget about it.

"I'm fine as long as I'm with you" I admitted and Keaton smiled.

"You're always safe with me" he said as he kissed my cheek. "Wanna dance?" he asked and I nodded. He took my head and lead me out to the dance floor he had set up earlier. As soon as our feet hit the dance floor and slow song began to play. I smiled as I wrapped my arms around Keaton's neck. He wrapped his arms tightly around my waist and pulled me close as we started swaying to "All of Me".

Keaton sang quietly into my ear, sending chills up and down my spine. Once the song was over, we pulled away.

"Yo! Keats! Let's go!" I heard Drew yell from the backyard. I looked at Keaton confused and he just smiled and lead me to the backyard. We walked out and I saw a stage set up. Wes and Drew were already setting up and were waiting for Keaton.

"Stay here baby" Keaton said to me once we got to the front of the stage. I nodded and watched him join Wes and Drew. Everyone from the party made their way out of the house and over to the stage.

"Thank you to everyone who came out tonight to help celebrate Wes and Taylor's full recoveries! We all appreciate it and everything you guys have done for us! Now, let's jam!" Keaton said into the mic as they started to play.

I immediately recognized the song, Tequila Sunrise, one of my songs by the boys. Especially because of Keaton's rasp in it. I started singing along to it and Keaton looked at me and smiled, I knew he loved the fact that I was an emblem. The boys finished and then they played Curious, another one of my favorites. Then it was Indigo, my third favorite. It was like Keaton knew what my favorites were, even though I hadn't told him. They finished and then stopped playing for a few minutes to talk to everyone.

"Blair, can you come up here please?" I heard Keaton say into the mic and I looked at him confused. Next thing I knew, I was being pushed up onto the stage by Kayla and Taylor. I took a spot next to Keaton and he pulled me in for a hug.

"Keaton, what's going on?" I asked him but he ignored me.

"As you all know, my beautiful girlfriend is spending the summer here instead of Virginia" Keaton started and everyone nodded. "Although I know she loves it here, I also how that she's been a little homesick, especially from her friends" he continued and I stood still, not knowing where this was going. "Well, with me being the best boyfriend in the world, I have a little surprise for Blair" he finished and I looked at him confused. I looked over at Wes, Drew, Taylor, Ashleigh, and then Kayla and they all just smiled at me, of course they know. I was the only one who didn't have a clue what was going on.

"Keaton, this is Wes and Taylor's party, not mine" I insisted but Keaton just shook his head.

"Come here Blair" Wes said to me as he held out a blindfold. What the hell was going on? I cautiously walked over to Wes and he turned me around before placing the blindfold over my eyes.

"Okay Blair, are you ready for your surprise?" I heard Keaton ask me and I nodded my head nervously. I heard shuffling around me and then it stopped. I felt someone touch the back of my head, untying the blindfold. "Surprise baby" Keaton said as the blindfold fell and my mouth dropped open.

Right in front of me stood my two best friends from back home, Serena and Elena. I've only talked about Serena, but Elena and I were just as close. The three of us were inseparable, and have been since elementary school. Serena and Elena were the ones who introduced me to Emblem3 for the first time, and needless to say, it was love at first sight with their music, and of course their looks. It was, and is, so unique and something special. And now I was friends with them and dating Keaton, I never saw that coming.

I ran straight into their open arms and hugged them tightly. "I miss you guys so much" I said as tears started to fall. "How are you guys here?!" I asked them when we pulled away.

"You can thank your boyfriend for that" Elena said and nodded toward him. I turned around and ran straight for Keaton.

"Keaton, you honestly don't know how much this means to me. You are the best boyfriend in the world, thank you" I said right before I connected our lips.

"Hey! He didn't do all the work. Who do you think went and picked them up from the airport?" Drew said from behind me and I smiled into Keaton and I's kiss before pulling away. I let go of Keats and went over to Drew.

"Thank you Drewy" I said before kissing him on the cheek, he was like my big brother, just like Wes. He smiled at my nickname for him and then pulled me in for a hug.

"No problem B" he replied and I smiled at the nickname.

"What? No love for me?" Wes whined and I laughed before walking over to him and gave him a hug too. "Yay!" He said as I pulled away.

"Okay baby, go back down in the front of the stage with Serena and Elena and we will play more" Keaton said as he walked over to me. I nodded before grabbing Serena and Elena's hands and getting off the stage.

"This next song is dedicated to a very special girl who recently came into our lives. She's only been here for a short time but it feels like she's been here forever. We don't know what we would do without you Blair. This song is called True Friends" Keaton said into the mic and then began playing.

Halfway through the song, tears were running down my face. I was so blessed to be here right now and to have them in my life. I felt three people wrap their arms around me. I turned around to see Taylor, Ashleigh, and Kayla. I pulled them all in for a group hug as more tears fell. I felt so loved. I had Wes and Drew, who were the two older brothers I never had. Taylor, Kayla, and Ashleigh, the sisters I never had. Keaton, who made me feel like a princess everyday. And now I had Serena and Elena here with me. Life couldn't get any better than it was right now.
