Falling Into Whatever This Is

March

The day I walked into class wearing a hoodie that had Levi's last name on it, started a string of rumors; none of which were true. Some people said we were dating, some people said we had sex in the woods and other people don't say anything.

I was glad for the people that didn't say anything.

I found it awkward, at first, when I would be around Levi because all that I could think about was our kiss. I guess I was sort of attracted to him, but not too much.

March rolled around and that was when our performing arts competition was scheduled to take place.

"All students competing in the performing arts competition, report the lobby." the announcements announced.

Addy, Hudson, Levi, and I were all in different home rooms so we had to meet in the lobby.

"Ellie! Ellie wait up!" I heard Levi shout down the hallway as he ran to catch up to me. He was running full out and he wrapped his arms around my waist, lifted me up and spun me around when he got to me.

"Hello Levi," I said smiling and pushing on his shoulders. As he put me down, I thought I felt his lips brush my cheek, but I wasn't sure.

"How are you?" he asked and gave me a Levi Hug. His hugs weren't in -between, he either gave you a bear hug or there was no hug. He really was perfection...oh I guess I did like him.

"Step away from the girl!" Adalyn called from down the hallway in a deep voice, mocking the teachers.

"No! She's mine!" he yelled back, spun me around and grabbed me from behind. He buried his head on mine and spoke into my scalp.

"Don't take her away from me." He said it so softly that only I could hear it.

I wasn't sure if Addy could see it, but Levi kissed the top of my head gently while he was humming a High School Musical song that I couldn't put my finger on at the time.

I guess she saw, but she didn't say anything, just got the look on her face that said "I'm getting feels."

"C'mon...we have to catch the bus."

Once we got out onto the bus I didn't know where to sit because I knew Levi would sit next to me but I kinda wanted to talk to Adalyn.

It wasn't as awkward as I thought. Hudson was on the bus before us all and had saved a seat for Addy and I willingly let her sit with him and Levi and I sat in the seat behind them.

I thought that, since I liked him, it'd be fun for us to play a sort of questioning game. Well not a game, just ask each other questions.

"What's your name?" Levi asked me.

"What the hell? My name's Ellie."

"I know," his smile was so perfect, "but I don't know your full name. I really don't know anything about you."

"My name is Eleanor Rose Leftwick. My birthday is on March 14, 2000. That's all I got...what about you?" I asked him.

"I'm Levi James Cellios and my birthday is October 22, 1999," he told me.

"Okay um...what's your favorite book?"

"Book? I like fantasy, dystopian."

"Holy shit really?! I love them too!"

Levi laughed, "Geez, Ellbud, you're a hardcore fangirl aren't you?"

"Um yeah!" I said before realizing what he had said. "Wait, what did you call me?"
