A Whole Day.

The soft morning light slipped into the main room, stirring Error from his sleep. He sat up, not sure where he was, only being able to see the blurry shapes of his surroundings. It didn't help that he was half asleep. He felt around for his glasses, tying them to his face once he found them. Now being able to see, he realised he was in Ink's main room, on one of the sofas. In fact right next to him, still sleeping, was Ink. Error smiled, pulling the blanket that was there over Ink and standing up, not sure what to do but unwilling to wake Ink.

He wandered over to the kitchen to search for something to eat, opening cupboards and looking in them, trying to be as quiet as possible. Just as Error was about to reach for a loaf of bread he had found, there was suddenly a loud thump from the living room. Error went back over there to see Ink on the floor next to the sofa.

"Are you ok?" Error asked, rushing to Ink's side.

Ink nodded, rubbing his side. "Yeah, I'm good. Not the first time I've done that."

Error sighed. "That's one way to wake up in the morning."

Ink gave a half-hearted laugh. "At least I'll have a whole day to recover."

The comment made Error remember something. "Oh yeah, you have the whole day off today, don't you?"

"Yep." Ink replied standing up. "Though I don't know what to do all day."

Error shrugged. "Well we could start with breakfast and then just see where the day takes us I guess."

"Sounds good to me!"

After breakfast they decided to head to Ink's studio. Ink wanted to draw some designs for things and Error thought it would be a good time to start working on the puppet Ink asked him to made. They both liked the idea of being close enough to talk while they did stuff too.

They ended up sitting against a wall, next to each other. Ink with a sketch pad, pencils, colours and a board, and Error with his puppet making box. They sat there in silence while working, both enjoying the calm company after the madness that was yesterday. But soon Ink piped up with a question.

"Error?" Ink asked, lowering his drawing and turning towards Error.

"Yeah?"

"What was your life like before you were the destroyer?"

Error almost dropped what he was working on. "Uh... I-I don't..."

"You don't have to talk about if you don't want to, I'm just curious." Ink said quickly, trying to take back what he asked. It clearly bothered Error, and all he had wanted it to be was a bit of chit chat.

"It's not that I don't want to..." Assured Error. "It's just that..." Error trailed off, not sure of how to put it. He sighed. "I guess there's just nothing to say about it, is all."

"What do you mean?"

Error took a deep breath. "I just don't remember it."

"At all?" Ink asked, curiosity seeping into his voice.

"Well, I remember remembering it, if that makes sense. But I don't remember it now. Only thing far back I can remember is the anti-void and the voices." Error looked away as he spoke, a sad expression on his face.

"Well, if it's any help. I don't remember my past either." Ink said, gently hugging Error.

"You don't?"

Ink shook his head. "I don't even remember remembering it."

Error gave a small smile. "I guess we're both amnesiacs then huh?"

Ink smiled. "Guess so."

Error opened his mouth to say more, but stopped himself, deciding to instead change the subject. Soon him and Ink were chatting while 'working', laughing at jokes and generally keeping the mood light hearted. This continued until lunch, when Ink announced he was going to cook something.

"Cook what?" Error asked, putting down his nearly finished puppet.

Ink only smiled. "You'll see when it's done!"

Despite Error's questions, Ink refused to tell what he was making, for what reason Error didn't know. Eventually Error gave up and let Ink go off and cook whatever he was going to make while he finished off the puppet.

As soon as Ink left the room the voices piped up, a din in the back of Error's mind. He didn't listen to any of them, refusing to his core to let the so far peaceful day be ruined by another panic attack. His stubbornness kept up until Ink suddenly appeared at the door to the studio, announcing that lunch was ready.

For lunch Ink had made hotdogs, most Sans' favourite food. They both practically wolfed their food down, then collapsed on the sofa they slept on last night.

Ink was sat right up against Error, and was leaning his head on Error's shoulder as he finished off the puppet he had started working on before lunch. Ink had almost fallen asleep when suddenly Error moved and placed something on Ink's head, before returning to his original position. Ink, confused, reached up to take the object off of his head, smiling when he saw it was the puppet of Error he had asked for.

"Was that revenge for the time I put a puppet on your head?" Ink joked, going back to leaning against Error.

Error chuckled. "Maybe." He was silent for a few moment before speaking again. "Oh, by the way, I made the clothes removable like you asked me to."

"What." Ink nearly dropped the puppet, his cheekbones starting to glow with blush. "I-I was joking!" He nearly threw the puppet at Error, and would've if Error hadn't grabbed his wrists.

Error was trying his hardest not to laugh. "I know." He eventually got out. "But I did it anyway!"

Ink was blushing like crazy, and let out a string of unidentifiable words. Error, still trying not to laugh pulled Ink close. Soon, Error calmed down and Ink had managed to tame his blush.

They ended up watching a few films, while cuddling on the sofa, before heading upstairs for an early night. It had been a perfect day.
