Chepter 1- First Day Back

Vanessa's POV

"No!" I screamed shivering when my idiotic little brother pulled the cover off me.
"Move you lazy brat, it's the first day of school," Justin exclaimed the second part of the sentence enthusiastically, I bet that kid will break my ear drums very soon.

Justin is only in year 6 so that explains why the enthusiasm on the first day of school. Justin is very cute and handsome honestly, yet so innocent, his point of dating is: it's a waste of time on other people.
Me, on the other hand, in year 11, which totally explains why I just want to stay under my covers on my bed. I'm not into dating either actually, the only boys I talk to constantly is Justin, my Dad and Austin- my childhood best friend. "I so care Justin." I rolled my eyes sarcastically and got up, knowing that this kid won't let me sleep again.

I checked the time on my phone only to see that it's 6:30 a.m; school starts at 7:30 a.m., One hour to go.
I've been in West Ridge School since year 6, 5 years of living hell. Ask me why- here let me tell you, exams are totally difficult, you can say they're easily said than done. But of course, me being Vanessa Simons, the smart genius in the school, I never ever failed a test; which is pretty rare in my school.

Also being Vanessa Simons also means that I'm the target for Madame Queen B Molly Anderson.

It all started in year 6, back when Molly and I used to be besties.

Flashback- year 6

"Wait, so you're telling me that you, Vanessa Simons, has a crush on him, Marcus Parsons?" Molly asked me when we passed Marcus Parsons, the guy I'm apparently crushing on in like forever- yet he never noticed me.
"Yeah Molly, I told you because you are my only trusted best friend, promise me you'll never tell anyone." I practically begged her.
"I promise Nessa." She replied then gave me a side-hug.

"Molly, truth or dare?" Johan asked.
I was sitting in our cafeteria in break with Molly and her gang, where we decided to play Truth or Dare.
"Dare, pick a good one Johan" She replied.
"Don't worry Molly, I've planned for this long time ago" Johan had a smirk plastered across his face, glancing at Marcus as he passed by us.
" Well, Molly you know the affect you have on the boys in our school, so how about you go make your Black Magic on that dude over there" He said pointing in Marcus's direction.
Molly gave me an evil smile too, only then I realized that the Black Magic will be Marcus in

And voila, Molly giving him those flirty looks and another voila they saving each other's number and the third voila she kissed on the cheek goodbye and left.

Since that very moment, Molly and Marcus would be together everywhere, and news of them being officially together was spread really quick.-Bet it was even quicker than Usain Bolt running.-
(Note the sarcasm)

My phone beeped, bringing me back to reality, knowing I got a text, I unlocked my iPhone 6 with my fingerprint and immediately checked the message.

Emily: Ready 2 school?
6:33

Vaneinstein??
6:34

I rolled my eyes, Emily would never give up calling me that, it all started when I was the only person who passed Physics test back in year 8- from that very moment everyone says that I'm Albert Einstein daughter or something. So Emily being the best friend, she offered to  come up with that pet name, a combination of my name and Einstein: Vaneinstein.

I locked my phone and went to the bathroom for a quick shower. And I just wore a normal sweater and black jeans.

I ran downstairs to meet my dad sitting on the couch sipping his coffee, watching a soccer match with my brother sneakily watching too. I mentally rolled my eyes at him, that kid needs to grow up a bit at least. I walked over to my mom who was reading a recipe book while sipping her tea. "Morning Mom" I half-screamed for her to hear me.

"Oh, morning dear, had a good sleep?"

"Yeah, all good"

"Well great, because the Cahill family is visiting us today"

"Really, but Austin is very annoying! Plus he won't let me study properly!"

"C'mon sweetheart, he's your best friend."

"Alright."

I kissed her cheek and went over to Emily who was waiting for me in her car.

Well, that was my first proper chapter, yeah I deleted the previous three chapters bcz they were an utter mess.
