I saved Shawn's phone number of my contacts of course and as soon as I got to the hotel I got a message from him. "Did you get to the hotel safe?" (He's so caring I-can't) "yeah, I did wbu?" I texted back. We continued talking and he asked me out. I woke up the next morning to like 4 texts from Shawn saying that I should wake up and that I shouldn't be sleeping that much well he was right it was already 7pm whoops, and asking me at what time I'll be ready so we can go out. Crap! I forgot to ask my dad! Well we'll see how that goes, I usually don't ask him or my mom where I can go or not or if I can go out or not cause I live alone but today or during this trip I can't just go without telling him where I go. I took a shower and put some ripped black jeans, a white crop top, a jean jacket and some black All Stars on [Tap the media part to see the outfit😉], I put a little bit of make up on, curled my hair up a bit and I was ready to go but I had to tell my dad first. "Hey dad!" I said excited. "We are you going?" My dad asked me looking at me from head to toes. "Ohh I wanted to ask you if I could go out with Shawn" I said nervously. "Shawn? Isn't that the guy you're obsessed with?" he said. "Yeah dad but we met yesterday in the airplane, don't you remember him?" I said. "Oh yeah, yeah he seems like a nice guy" he said. "So I can go?" I asked. "He has to come up here to pick up you up and he also has to talk to me" he said. "Dad! You're gonna scare him! What are you going to tell him? He doesn't speak Spanish! You are not going to understand what he is saying! He doesn't even know we are Hispanic! And it's not that I'm saying I'm ashamed to say where are we from or who I am" I said. "Why didn't you tell him yesterday?" he asked. "Cause he didn't ask and we were coming from Canada which is actually my home now so I guess he assumed we were Canadians just like him!" I said. "Alright go with him, don't come too late and when he comes to drop you off he better talk to me, so you gotta practice a speech in Spanish with him" he said. "Thanks dad" I said while kissing him in the cheek. [Please notice that every conversation Alice has with her dad/mom are in Spanish cause they are Honduran and they doesn't understand English very well but her siblings do so yeah they talk in English]
