I texted Shawn I was ready to go out with him and he appeared outside our hotel room's door, about 10 minutes after I texted him. "Hi Ali- wow you look amazing!" Shawn said while I was opening the door for him. "Haha hi! And thanks" I said blushing. "Hola Sir, gracias for giving her permission to go out with me, I'll keep her safe" Shawn said while entering the hotel room and giving my dad a hand shake salute, I chuckled at the sound of his Spanish and how he tried to speak it but failed, he is so adorable I just can't. "Hola, no problem, gracias" my dad said back. "Gracias dad, bye!" I said to my dad. "Adios Sir" Shawn said. "Bye! Tengan cuidado! (Take care)" My dad said while Shawn and I were leaving the hotel room. "Your dad seems like a nice person" Shawn said smiling while we were walking to the elevator. "He is, well most of the time, but he doesn't treat boys we go out with like he treated you, I guess you're lucky cause you don't speak Spanish and he doesn't understand everything you're saying, ohh and I gotta practice a Spanish speech with you" I said. "Wait. We? And a Spanish speech??" He asked. "Yeah we, I have 3 younger sisters, two of them are twins and an older brother but my dad actually likes my brother's girlfriend so yeah🤷🏻♀️ and I have to practice or teach you how to recite a speech in Spanish cause my dad wants to know why do you want to go out with me, what are your intentions and if you're a good guy which you are and he also says you seem like a nice guy but I guess he just wants to know you" I said. "Wow and do you speak Spanish? Where are you from?" Shawn asked me. "I do speak fluent Spanish and fluent English, I'm from Honduras which is a small country in Central America, but we moved to Chicago 10 years ago, well I moved to Canada 2 years ago so I just lived in Chicago for 8 years but my family still lives in Chicago, I'm the only rebel one who moved out of the country and away from the family" I said. "Wow that's pretty cool! Why did you moved away from your family and out of the country? Like you could've move to your own place in Chicago but you decided to move to your own place in a different country, why? Do you mind if I record you saying some things in Spanish? We will be in the elevator so no one else will listen or give us weird looks" Shawn said while we were entering to the elevator. "Well I guess I thought I was old enough to have my own place and not live under my parents' roof anymore, I also wanted to be free, independent, and live my own life without parents telling me what to do, at what time I have to get home, and I'm not gonna lie sometimes I do miss my parents and my siblings. And I moved to Canada because if I was going to have my own place I wanted to live in a country I always wanted to live in which was and is Canada so that's why I moved to a different country and away from my family and Sure! I don't mind! What do you want me to say?" I said. "Wow that's pretty impressive, I also moved to my own place some months ago and it feels so good to have your own place but sometimes I miss my parents and my sister as well. What about 'Hi! I'm on a date with Shawn Mendes and he says I look gorgeous'"? He said. I laughed and said "I don't look gorgeous but thank you, okay! start recording!" Shawn started recording me on Snapchat and I started saying "Hola! Estoy en una cita con Shawn Mendes y el dice que me veo hermosa" and then I laughed and he also recorded me laughing. "And that's a wrap! You did it pretty good, your laugh is adorable and your Spanish is wow is like so caliente" Shawn said laughing, I laughed too and then I checked snapchat and saw Shawn's story... he captioned the video he took of me as "My date looking gorgeous and hot like she always does and her caliente Honduran Spanish accent makes me wanna kiss her" I looked at him and pointed the caption with my finger, he came closer to me, grabbed my cheeks with both of his big hands and kissed me.
