"Never let hard lessons harden your heart; the hard lessons of life are meant to make you better not bitter." - Roy T.Bennett

Seth was beginning to learn more about himself and the bond of the imprint, the more he learned about Grace. Grace intrigued him in a way that made him curious, questioning things he never used to question before. He started to look at things from a different perspective, the way Grace always did. His mother was proud of him, for he was growing.

The pack noticed it too, they thought it was strange at first but appreciated Seth's intelligent outlook on things. However, they still did not approve of Seth's decision to keep her in the dark.

"Well obviously we have to do something." Jake said.

"It's not our decision." Sam stated.

"It's a stupid one." Leah snorted. "It's killing him, her not knowing."

"And the worst part is, the idiot actually believes that's whats best." Paul sneered, knowing the pain of being away from your imprint. The rest of the pack shuddered, feeling the same thing Paul was, he winced and apologized knowing how much of a pain it was to share others emotions.

Then Leah remembered what she saw last week, effectively sharing with the rest of the pack that was on patrol.

She was walking down the hall to the kitchen, when she heard something while she passed Seth's room. The pair were sitting on the floor, she was leaning against his bed, her legs crossed in front of her and Seth on the floor with his head in her lap. Grace was reading to him, too focused on the book to notice the look of complete awe on Seth's face. Leah narrowed her eyes in confusion but then realized it was kind of sweet. She loved to read and he clearly loved to listen to her.

Sam stopped for a moment.

"Okay maybe it wouldn't hurt to give him a small push."

Across town, Seth and Grace sat at a both in a diner in Forks. To an outsider, they looked like a sweet couple on a date. But to each other they were Seth and Grace. A human girl, too proud to admit how she really felt about him. And a shape-shifter boy, too obtuse to realize he was really in love with her.

The imprint is a strong bond that brings people together, but it doesn't force two people to love each other. The imprinter becomes whatever his imprint needs, since Grace didn't ask anything of Seth, his feelings were all his own.
