~Skye's POV~
Today had been a nice day. I got to eat ice-cream! And mind you that doesn't happen often when you live all by yourself. I mean I could ask my parents for more money but I feel the need to be independent.
The only blip on my happiness radar was that perv at the ice-cream store. I wonder who gave guys the right to wink and touch girls according to their whims and fancies. I'm a feminist and I hate all guys who think they are better than girls. Ahh... enough of the ranting. I'm not going to let some stupid person ruin my happiness.
The walk home was a pleasant one. I took my time and saw the sunset. I was in a great mood by the time I reached my apartment. I greeted everyone on my way in. Mrs Jensen asked me, "Did you just come back from a date? You seem to be really happy!" "No! And anyway, who'd like to date me out of all the people in the world." I replied, blushing.
Soon I was inside my apartment lazing around, doing nothing. I thought of cooking but it was Rhea's turn so I abandoned the idea. I thought, " Let's bake some cookies!"
I went to the kitchen and found out that we were short of brown sugar. I quickly slipped into my sandals and went to the grocery store. There were not a lot of people so it didn't take me a lot of time to finish my business. I went back to the apartment and got into the elevator. Just when the elevator was about to close. Somebody put there hand in between the doors with a loud shout.
"STOP!"
