PART 2

Tavia and Kat went back to shower and get into new clothes. Sal and I just sat around the mister my dad had set up, and ate spicy Cheetos. We got through almost half a bag, and then rolled up the bag and saved them for later. I got a picture on my phone from my girlfriend. It was BRANDON, written in the sand. She was at the beach that day, so It made sense. I noted the idea of it in my mind, and we headed down to the volley ball court. At the moment, nobody was down there. Will finally came over and started helping us build this tiny little house out of sticks and leaves. I remembered the picture and said to Sal "I should write A + B in the sand" (Note, my girlfriends name is Anna) Sal nodded, and we both started drawing it out in the sand. I told Will when we were finished that Sal liked his sister. Will got a mad look on his face and started chasing after Sal. Sal, of course, being fast as hell, out ran him. Just then, Kat and Tavia walked over. Tavia was wearing a dress, and Kat was wearing a pink tank top with short shorts. I looked at Will and he smiled and says. "KAT! SAL LI-" I stopped him and told him it was Tavia, not Kat. "Tavia isn't my sister!" he shouted. Me and Sal looked at each other, and I said "Plot twist" We both started laughing. I said to Will "Sal likes Tavia" "TAVIA SAL LIKES YOU!!!" He yelled out. Tavia blushed and said "Come here, Will." She walked with him for a tiny bit, talking to him. When they were finished, Will came back and said "SAL! TAVIA LIKES YOU TOO" He yelled, giggling and laughing. I smiled, but Sal was red as a tomato. We all sat down on the ground, Sal scooting close to Tavia. Kat and I were on the opposite side, surrounding this little clearing in the house where we were building the tiny house. 3 girls emerged from the campground closest to the volley ball net. Once again, two familiar, one not. One was a girl I went to school with in 4th, 5th and 6th grade. Her name was Dani. The other one was with Tavia and Kat the day before, when we first encountered them. I didn't know her name. Then there was another one, she made me a little uncomfortable, but I dealt with it. Sal was suddenly quiet, and seemed to be quite uncomfortable, even more than I was. He continued to show Tavia videos on his phone. I looked at Dani and said "You remember me?" "Yeah! Yeah I do" she said to me. "You pretty much look the same as in 5th grade" She said. "Is that a good thing or a bad thing?"

I asked. "Well, I mean, uh, you're not ugly or anything" She said kind of awkwardly. I guess everybody here already knew my name, because the one I did not know whatsoever asks me "Do you have a girlfriend, Brandon?" "Uh, yeah." I muttered. She just kind of looked at me. Her and Dani started to do weird things with each other, like sitting on each others laps. I tried not to pay any attention to it, but It was quite funny. They hung around us for a while. After they left, we headed back to the river for a little while. We went back to the second clearing. Tavia hung her camera from the tree again, Sal set down his phone, and we hung out. Kat and I kept bothering Sal, trying to get him to ask out Tavia. Kat went so far as to get sticks and jab at Sal with them. One after the other. I was sitting off to the side, pulling bamboo shoots out of the ground. I pulled one out, and looked at it. I noticed a red liquid running down it. "Am I bleeding?" I said to myself. I looked at my hand, and sure enough, there was a nice sized cut on my finger. Nothing too bad, but it was bleeding, and it had cotton from the plants around it inside of my cut. "Uh, Sal I think I need a band-aid" I muttered "What, did you get a tiny cut or something?" Tavia said to me. "No, it's not a tiny cut. It hurts bad." I said in a slightly annoyed voice. Kat grabbed a leaf off of the bush next to her. "C'mere! put this on your cut" she said to me. "Uh, I don't know about that" I said skeptically "Just do it you wimp" Kat said. I pressed it down on my finger and held it for a few seconds. When I pulled it off, It had stopped bleeding. My face lightened up. I felt my phone buzz. I got a text from my mom saying "Dinner is ready." I tried to tell Sal, but he was wrapped up in a conversation with Tavia about dogs or something. "Sal! Dinner is ready!" I shouted. That caught his attention. We headed up the trail. "Are you guys going to Banjo Bobs today?" Tavia asked us. "Yeah! Were gonna go after dinner" Sal said. "Cool! Meet us back down here whenever you're done eating dinner." We went to the camp and ate burgers. We had the rest of our spicy Cheetos with them. When we finished, we met back with Tavia and Kat. We hung out at the river for a little while, and went back up the trail. "Were gonna go ahead and walk down to Banjo Bobs, meet us there in a little while." Sal said to them. "Okay! See you in a little while!" Kat said to us. We followed a trail down to the little theater area. Banjo Bob was laying down on the stage taking a nap when we got there, so we quietly crawled up to the top of a hill over looking the whole bike path and theater. We sat there for a while. Sal decided he would move down closer to the stage when Tavia and Kat arrived. We talked for a little while. "You're in love, aren't you, Sal?" I asked him. "You can tell, can't you..." He started. "Shes just so pretty, and so kind and funny, and... I think I'm in lo-" Sal was cut off because Banjo Bob had woken up and was now sitting up front on the stage. "Howdy Y'all!" He said to us. "WHATS-UP!" Sal yelled. "I'm just waiting for the rest of the people to get here" We both nodded and waited for Kat and Tavia. I noticed them walking around the corner of the path. It was Kat, Tavia, and another girl who's name was Brianna. I only knew this because I heard Dani say it earlier in the day. Me and Sal ran down to greet them. Kat and Brianna had food, Tavia didn't. We all found A nice spot to sit down in, a good distance away from the stage, enough so we could head him well, but also so that his banjo wouldn't blast our ear drums out. Soon enough, lots of people started showing up. We sat there and waited for Banjo Bob to start playing. It was sunset, and very beautiful out. Brianna took a picture of the sunset, and then multiple pictures of her, Kat, and Tavia. Banjo Bob cleared his throat and said.
