Oh stars! You have got to be kidding me. The Lunar Queen is here, at the worst possible time.
My father just died last night. May he Rest In Peace. Literally after he was presumed dead, the Queen and all of her glory, decides to comm me and send her condolences, also with the message that she is coming today.
How ludicrous.
How does she even know? I didn't even blink and BAM! Her face is on my Father's former net screen. Not even her face, a white silk veil.
Lunars glamour can't transmit through the net screens. No one truly knows what she looks like.
My advisor Torin made me make the announcement yesterday night. I didn't even get one ounce of sleep. My eyes are red and puffy from from crying all night. My father is gone. They say he struggled a little before he passed. I am truly alone now.
And the thing that really makes me irate is that she withheld the cure.
Damn her!
I clenched my fingers so tight my knuckles turned ghostly white, just remembering.
While I was going to give the antidote to one of my top doctors, Dr. Erland, I ran into the mechanic that is fixing my robot.
Cinder is her name. She is so easy to talk to. I like her a lot. Not like anyone I'd ever met. She has a kind face, the one that draws you in. If and when I saw her, I would ask her to the ball. AKA my coronation, which is in less than a week. When I asked her, she said something that I'm not used to.
She told me, "No."
When I asked why, she told me she wasn't allowed to attend. I was taken aback by this. And a little offended—I am however the prince.
