Kuroo was very excited when the day their practice with Fukurōdani finally came. Not only did he enjoy how exhausting their matches were, but he had an even greater time with Kōtarō Bokuto; the captains were best friends, and whenever they were together, they'd do questionable yet fun things which left everyone either confused or laughing.
In their way there, Yaku and Lev were taking about the power couples of the different schools and they started fighting over which one was best.
"Lev, you don't know anything, we can all agree that Sugawara-san and Daichi-san are the best couple there is. They're like the parents of Karasuno, and the way they look at each other is precious." Yaku crossed his arms, waiting for Lev's response.
"I'm sorry Yaku-senpai, but I have to say that Oikawa-senpai and Iwaizumi-senpai are way better. Their love-hate relationship is entertaining, and you can clearly see how much they care for each other even if they don't admit it." Lev shrugged and looked at Kuroo. "What do you think, Kuroo-senpai?"
The tall male turned to look at Lev with his usual smirk. "I'd like to say me and Kenma are the best. Not only do we know each other since we were kids, but we also have the cutest height difference. I care about Kenma a lot and he cares about me, I hope..."
Kenma looked at the bed-haired male that was sitting next to him. "I do care about you, Kuroo, but I'd have to disagree. Akaashi-san and Bokuto-senpai are just the most adorable couple there is. I don't even need to argue, it's just a fact."
The white haired male looked offended at the captains choice of ship and was ready to fight him. "Kuroo-senpai, I think you're mistaken. If we talk about which is the best couple in Nekoma, then it would either be me and Yaku-senpai or Kenma-senpai and I."
There was silence for a couple of minutes as everyone tried to process what Lev had said, until the short libero began laughing.
"Lev, I don't think people would agree with you on that last one. Kenma-san and Kuroo are the power couple of Nekoma, just like there is one is the rest of the teams." Yaku rolled his eyes at the tall, white-haired male.
Kuroo smiled at Yaku's comment and hugged Kenma. "See, kitty boy? We are a power couple and we're gonna show everyone we are the best." This made Kenma roll his eyes and get comfortable in the taller's embrace.
"I still think Akaashi and Bokuto are better." The small pudding-head whispered and everyone on the bus sighed.
