"What would you do if I kissed you right now?" Tyler asks in a husky, low tone. His face and lips are inches from mine as his tall, muscular frame looms over my small one. Both of his hands are on my waist as I settle my arms on his strong biceps. "You can't." I say in a small whisper looking into his beautiful brown eyes. "I don't care." as he slams his luscious lips onto mine.

Chapter 1

My life is a living hell. I can't stand it at all. What did I do wrong to make me end up in this situation? I might as well start from the beginning.

I'm Alison Adams, 17 years old, currently moving to LA because of my moms stupid quote-on-quote "husband." They're not actually married, but they like to think so. I honestly think it's stupid since there's no ring involved but, whatever she's happy. You might be wondering why I'm moving to LA when schools about to start in two days. I used to live in Pennsylvania with my mom and dad who were happily married. We didn't have any problems, life was great and just the 3 of us made things perfect. Until, that tragic day happened.

It was a Wednesday night I think, I was 15 years old at the time. My dad worked as a business man for some company, so he had to go on 2-3 day trips which I hate because he was barely home. He came into my room and kissed me goodnight. "Dad? Please stay. You always leave, you're gonna miss my school play.. Again." I said quietly. He grinned at me as he sat down on my bed. "How about this? When I come back, make sure you tell your mother to videotape your play. Then, we have some daddy-daughter time together." I smiled at him, "I would love that. I love you daddy." I said to him with a smile. " I love you too." He said quietly. He got off my bed, looked at me that one last time, and closed my room door.

That very next day, I got home from school. "Mom I'm home..Mom?" I yelled her name multiple times, but there was no answer. I made my way upstairs to her room, and saw her bawling her eyes out. I ran to her, trying to make eye contact so she could tell me what's wrong. "Mom! What's wrong? What happened? Are you hurt?" I kept on asking her these questions but she wouldn't respond. "MOM WHAT HAPPENED?" I yelled.

She looked up at me with her tear-stained face. "I'm so sorry Ali." She whispered. I looked at her confused as to why she was apologizing. "Why are you saying sorry? What happened?" I questioned. I wanted answers but she was taking too long to answer me. I gripped onto her shoulders, trying to get her back to reality. "GODDAMMIT MOM, WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?" I angrily let out. And then, she let out those words that changed my life from that point. "YOUR FATHER IS DEAD ALI!! HE'S DEAD!" She yelled back at me.

My whole body was stiff and still. I swear my face went pale from the shocking news. "What do you mean he's dead. He can't just be dead, mom."I said in a sad, quiet whimper. "How did this happen? When?" I asked my distraught mother. She looked at me with pain in her face. " this morning. Your father was in a plane crash. No survivors. I'm sorry." I couldn't hear anymore of this. I ran out of the room and headed to my bedroom. I threw my backpack on the ground, and threw every single item that I found at the walls. I couldn't control my anger. He was here yesterday and now he's gone. I'll never see him again. I sat on my bed and cried myself to sleep every, single night.

By the time I was 16, my mom went through a serious case of deep depression. She starved herself, tried to kill herself several times and started taking drugs. I tried to stop her, but she would get angry me at times if I got in her way. Since then, I isolated myself from friends, didn't associate with anyone, wore baggy sweaters with skirts or loose jeans, but did well in school. I had to keep a very close eye on my mother so she wouldn't end up doing something stupid to herself. She quit her job as a nurse and mostly stayed in the house popping anything in her mouth that would help the pain. We got all the money my dad earned which was great for us, financially. But then, my mom started to get selfish with the money. She mostly spent it on herself to buy more drugs when we needed the money for rent. I couldn't stand her from that point on. She was always upset, 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week. Nothing changed with her. "Mom, you need to go out. Socialize with people cause I'm tired of seeing you like this." She looked at me with her lifeless eyes. Her shiny blonde hair was dry and frizzled. She didn't look like the woman I knew before dad died which really worried me. "Yeah, you're right." She said in her raspy voice. She got up from the couch, put on her sweater and reached for her car keys. "I'm going to the bar. I'll be back in a few." And, she left.

It was 2 in the morning. I was in bed when I heard the door open. I could hear voices. My moms and a man that didn't sound recognizable. "Shh, you have to be quiet." She whispered/ giggled. I think she must've been drunk. I got out of bed and tiptoed to my door. I carefully opened my door and walked silently down the hall. I couldn't see the mans face cause his back was faced towards me. He was very tall and buff. His was bald, wearing a red plaid shirt with dark jeans and combat boots. "I should say the same thing to you since I'm gonna rock your world tonight." the man said in a low, husky voice. My mom giggled and slammed her lips onto his. The stranger grabbed my moms legs to lift her up and settled her on the couch. I knew what they were gonna do, so I headed back to my room and closed my door. All I heard were moans and groans that night.

I never met the mysterious stranger since that night. But, my mom was out every day coming home with the same guy and screwing each other till they were exhausted. I had a feeling the man did drugs as well because I overheard my mom one night asking him if he had the "stuff" which is code for drugs. I'm not stupid. She started seeing this guy for 3 months and I never saw him face to face. Until that day. I was at home doing math homework. Calculus, division, multiplication. Like always, mom was out with that mysterious stranger, that's when the door opened. In walked my mother, but she wasn't alone.

"Ali?" She called. "In the kitchen." I responded. "Come out here. I want you to meet someone." I rolled my eyes and got out of my seat. As I turned the corner, there were two men standing at the doorway. One of them was the man that comes here almost every night. I finally got to see what he looks like. Like I said, he was very tall and buff. He had a scruffy brown beard, bald head. The only thing that was different was that he reeked of alcohol and cigarettes. The sound of my moms voice interrupted my observation of this mysterious stranger. "Ali, this is David and his son, Trevor." Behind David stood another man that looked about 18-20 years old. He was good looking to be honest. Trevor had shaggy blonde hair, blue eyes, and a little bit of blonde scruff around his mouth. He kind of wore similar clothing like his father. He had on a blue plaid shirt with a white t-shirt underneath that showed off his defined muscles, dark jeans and combat boots. "Hi Ali, I'm Trevor. It's really nice to meet you." He said with a smile. I didn't respond to him. I looked at my mother. "Ok, why are they here?" I asked rudely. That's when David spoke up. "Is that anyway to treat your new daddy?"

That's when I stopped breathing.
