Chapter 9: Baby Shower

PANDORAH'S POV

*Three Months Later*

Since Kellin and I don't have much money, we agreed to let our mom's throw us a baby shower. I mean, you get a party and free baby gifts. And baby gifts are expensive, so it's the only reasonable option.

We didn't invite too many people. It was just Kellin and I obviously, both of our parents, Josyanne, Kellin's bandmates and their girlfriends.

We were having it at my house and I think our moms went a little too overboard. It took them an hour to release a hundred pink balloons throughout the house and hang up pink streamers everywhere. There was even pink confetti all around the living room. The cake was on the kitchen table and was white with pink frosting. The cake read 'It's A Girl!' in pink cursive letter. Like I said, it was nothing too fancy.

Once everyone arrived, we began playing the games. The first game we played was called Bobbing For Nipples. We filled a bucket outside with about twenty baby bottle nipples and some water. We all went outside and it was determined that Kellin would go against Gabe first.

They got on opposite sides of the bucket and put their hands behind their back. I tied as much of Kellin's hair back as I could because he didn't want to get it wet.

"Remember, whoever gets the most bottle nipples in a minute wins." I said and the boys nodded. "One, two, three, go!" They both dove their head into the bucket, Kellin pulling out the first one. Gabe pulled out one and then they were just kind of swimming around in the bucket and not really grabbing anything. It was pretty funny to watch because they would have to keep standing up and gasping for air.

Kellin ended up winning with two more than Gabe. Everyone decided that Josyanne and I should go against each other next. We both tied our hair back and started bobbing for the bottle nipples. I ended up winning with five more than Josyanne.

We kept playing until everyone had gone. Finally, the guests made Kellin and I go against each other which I was pretty excited to see the outcome. We stood across the bucket from each other and playfully glared at each other.

"GO!" Josyanne yelled and we dove into the bucket. We were bumping heads and stealing bottle nipples out of each others teeth. We got pretty competitive which caused the both of us to get soaking wet. Once the minute was up, I ended up with one more then him and I was named champion.

We played a few more games, had cake, talked and opened presents. The presents were the usual baby stuff like a car seat, a crib, clothes, bottles, pacifiers, diapers, toys, things like that. Eventually, everyone left except for Kellin and his parents. My dad, Kellin and his dad agreed to stay behind and help set up the nursery.

The nursery was actually my closet. I had a huge walk in closet so the plan was to remove the shelves and put the crib and changing table in there. I was going to use a drawer or two of my dresser to put her clothes and I had a little bouncy seat in the corner of my room for her to sit in.

KELLIN'S POV

"Kellin, can you carry that out into the hall for me?" Pandorah's dad asked as him and my dad took the last shelf off of the wall.

"Yes sir." I said, grabbing it and taking it out of the room and placing it in the hall with the others. I walked back in and saw they were gettign the crib out of the box. I sat down with them and helped them build it.

"So, Kellin, mind if I ask you a few questions?" Pandorah's dad asked.

"Not at all."

"Do you and Pandorah have a plan for after the baby is born?"

"Well, that'll be in the summer. So, we figured that I could sleep here for a few weeks, maybe go home like once or twice a month. When school starts back up again, I can come over when she needs help but I won't need to be around like every second like I will after she's born. Honestly, we're mainly planning to play it by ear. All we know is we both want to graduate high school. We'll both be seniors next year so another year of schooling then we'll be done."

"What about after high school?"

"I might double up on jobs, I'll take classes at a community college. All I know is I want us moved out to California within three years after high school."

Pandorah's dad and I talked a little bit more and he was really nice.

"Pandorah! Come take a look!" Her dad called.

"I'm coming! Hold on!" She came up the stairs and walked into the room. She looked into the closet and gasped. "It looks great you guys." She said, hugging the three of us. "Thank you so much."

"No problem." We said.

"We still have to add a few final touches though. Nothing too major."

"Alright, thanks, love ya guys." She said, heading back down. We finished up the nursery and all walked out.

"Thanks for the help Kellin. You're a really nice boy and perfect for my daughter." Pandorah's dad said as the three of us walked down the stairs.

"Well thank you Mr. James." I smiled, shaking his hand. We reached the bottom and Pandorah came running, or more like waddling from how big her stomach had gotten, over to me. She hugged me tightly and kissed my lips.

"I love you, see you tomorrow."

"Of course." I said, kissing her one more time before going out to the car with my parents.
